More Armor
I think a wider variety of armor would be nice...
Yes! I know there's a already a lot already, but everytime I go in the game, there are always some poor fools who happen to look identical. Any ideas on how more armor could be introduced to the game? My first thought was to add Canthan Dervish and Paragon armor and Elonian Assassin and Ritualist armor. Thoughts?

Addendum: I see there is Assassin and Ritualist armor in Elona. But still.. what about dervish and paragon armor in Cantha?

As was already officially mentioned, there won't be any content changes on older campaigns as new campaigns are released.
But I agree with you that more armor skins is a good idea. Or as a compromise, some sort of preview for armor so it makes it easier to see how a certain mix-n-match would look.

Did they say that? Bummer. I guess if they made an official statement, they can't retract it. But does it really make sense that there would be Elonian armor for Cantha-specific classes and not the other way around? Damn, I was hoping I could get my dervish some nic armor, but I don't really like the options.

Ive personally noticed an ever decreasing number of armors types for each profession when a campaign is released.
Im not that fussed, because if you consider that accross the entire game there is over a dozen types and several different 15k types per profession.
So in a way Im /signing it to say I hope they dont continue the decreasing trend.
But /notsigned in thinking there currently isnt enough.
How ever - my main is an elemental and I personally have a bone to pick about this whole 5k, 10k, 15k thing.
I liked it the way it was when you had 1.5 and 15k armor.
Why? And this is rather petty.
Its because the 5k and 10k armors look ALOT nicer then the 15k armors in Elona.
Im only going by what GuildWiki shows in pictures mind, because im only 70% way through the map. I havent personally met all the armor traders yet.
So their could be some armor Ive not seen yet.
But looking at the photos on guildwiki, the 15k elemental armor makes male elementals look like their in drag. They look more like their going to a prom in a prom dress.
Where-as the 5k and 10k armors are actually REALLY nice and stylish and I love the collars on them.
But their NOT 15k.... so the prestige (sorry bad spelling) about them, isnt as grand.
Its just not as satisfying buying them, when you know 15k armor exists.
They should have kept all armor as 1.5k or 15k and not added this midd-way thing.

There is plenty already. Its just people think they have to look l337 and all get the same armor. Just like 70% of warrior had 15k kurzick (or will be getting 15k nf endgame soon).

yeah, i'd have to say that 99% of all monks wear either tattoos, 15k kurzick, 15k canthan, or fow. increasing the choices isn't going to really affect this number...

i would like to see new armors at cantha and tyria...
but i really doubt they will ever add
i like the new/old ones... i think there are plenty of them
i just wanted to see they add new mods at the ones from tyria, so that we could really mix them and create e totally new design
its not that you CANT mix them... its just that the stats might not match

..because which corsair armor crafter would trade with you? they're your enemies, dammit! :P
more armor is always good, but keep in mind, they have to design armor for the next 8 chapters as well for all the (core) classes. would be stupid to waste all their inspiration in the first 3 chapters.

Magrid the Sly is not. Corsairs care about money. Im sure there is a corsair armor crafter who wouldn't mind fleecing the Sunspears for sets of armor.

I certainly wanted to see Dervish and Paragon Luxon and Kurzick armors, it would give people who didn't own factions a reason to purchase it besides the skills.

Unlinking Tyrian armour art from stats would go a hell of a long way to improving diversity in at least the core classes. Any Warrior with brains is running Gladiators stats, and Ranger with brains is running Druid stats unless his build is designed to use a different set - but will have druid stats in his inventory still, and Elementalist with brains isn't running any of the Tyrian armour, Canthan/Elonian +armour/+health just blows it away. And for Prophecies only people, that choice is severely limited unless they want to aim at Fissure armour. Unlinking the Tyrian stats would give core classes another 5-6 viable armour art sets each.

Could suggest or sketch your ideal armor design at this thread.
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s....php?t=3004426
Can also suggest what you like, I am sure someone will give it a try and sketch it out one.
------------------------------------
But yeah, I am still waiting for the Town Cloth. And some of the NPC's armor set look just lot sweeter too....
