Lock items you carry from being sold.
I know this has been mentioned before, but the threads I found were months old and I didnt want to re-awaken one from fear of repreasal.
I suggest one of two things;
Either give us the option to lock items which we carry in personal storage. To prevent selling them to merchants, when your rushing through your items.
You wont even be able to view these items when speaking to merchants, because they will be hidden from the selling window.
It would be as simple as ticking a button or holding shift when you double click it to say "locked" or "protected".
Or...
Create another kind of bag to carry clothes or weapons or anything. Anything inside this bag cannot be sold to merchants, traded or salvaged.
When speaking to a merchant, it wont even display in the selling window.
You can still how ever open inventory and see it as you would any other bag, to allow you to pass items back and forth to/from storage.
Make it small to start with like any other bag, and use a rune of holding to inlarge it.
Either way, either of those ideas would sort it out.

Or you could just untick the bag in question when you talk to a merchant. Yes, I'm blatantly ignoring the fact that this has been brought up before, but you might actually want to check if the game has the feature you want before you ask for it to be included.
Besides this, anet already included a "Do you want to sell this?" box when you try to sell a customized item or a weapon from a weapon set.

It's been there since Prophecies was launched, talk to a merchant and you'll see five symbols on the top of the screen. By default they have a green V over them (except equipped items), but you can untick them if you want to 'hide' them from the merchant.

I believe the ticks are account wide, it's quite annoying when I had some char's with lots of stuff in the bags (secondary armors, weapons.. etc, lack of storage space cough cough )

Some of my characters carry around some fairly good secondary weapons, and the annoying thing is that weapon slotted equipment MUST be in the backpack (if you assign a weapon in a belt or something to a weapon slot, it won't work, last time I checked), and I get afraid someday I'll accidentally sell one of these equips while emptying out a full inventory.
