I welcomed the idea and implementation of key words being censored in the local channel eg. WTS,Selling ect but it has failed. Now people are using "sellin" "W T S" ect. Many towns, the most important ones Lions Arch, Ascalon, and so on are infested with people using the local for a trade channel. It makes for a very unenjoyable experience.

I can tolerate it every now and then but it is getting ridiculous. I can't and I'm sure many others couldn't hold a chat for more than a minute in certain towns. Sure I could use private message but why should I have to find another alternative. Should something be done about this? I could report them but seriously should I have to? and would anything be done about it.Or should Areanet?

Just to mention I have PM'ed some in game to stop using the local for trade but hahaa yea that was taken as a total joke as I knew it would be. It was more of just a fall back as to some that might suggest to asking them to stop in-game so yea no that doesn't work.

I feel and many other too would say Areanet needs to step-up and put a stop to this. I have a few ideas but they may be extreme but it is getting extreme. Also if this type of action would be presented on lets say these or any other Guild Wars forums ( spamming ) the general area of the forum or any other section would it be tolerated..I don't think so.. So why is it tolerated in game.

I hope everyone that reads this has something constructive to say and or has there our idea of what can be done to stop this.

Sign the petition for an ingame auction house. Doing so will hopefully get rid of the unwanted trade in towns and outposts. I too am fed up with the system as it is now, and most times I will turn off the local channel just so I am noty bothered with it.

I wasn't aware there was a petition. That sounds like a great idea! I also turn off the local channel. Can you provide me with the link to the petition?

I wonder what a trade free all chat channel would be like. I would image it would be like presearing......random thoughts lol.Pretty fun.
