Default When you disconnect...

Okay, I'm sure this has happened to some of you guys, but it just happened to me.. ANd it has before....
Nahpui Quarter, I'm killing that monk boss which was the last one for me, then TADDAH!! CODE 007!!! I LOST IT ALL! It said that I got disconnected from the game 5 seconds before my firned whom i was on the phone with beat the mission.
My Suggestion:
WHen this kind of thing happens, it shoudl leave you in the game, and talk to your team, but you cannot talk through friends, guild alliance... ANd this should be possible since the game runs off of your computer and then it connects with others.
So please, say YES!

Umm... no. You don't understand how the game works. Item drops etc still occur server side. If you could really "run things off of your computer" then it would be too easy to hack into and create fake items/golds since the generator for those data values would be on your computer instead of server side.

Also, get over it. Err=7s happen and can be very annoying and have happened to me at much more inoportune times before. Just hope that a.net impliments the reconnect feature soon.

Yes, Error=7 sucks badly, but you just gotta get over it. It's happened to me a lot of times, most of the time during a specific weekend. It's bad, but don't forget; Guild Wars is just a game.

Default I agree Error code = 007 is not very good

I must agree: Error 007 is a nasty error,it occurs too many times and also
when the web is not overloaded from connections.

For example...I was logged on Guildwars at 02:00 in the morning, doing nothing, and suddendly my ADSL modem crashed...well It's not very good.

I could understand that connection may crash when the web is full of connections...but nevertheless this is a grave error that should not occur.

In other games...I have never experienced this kind of error, this kind of problem.

I don't want to be boring but this kind of error occurs whenever it should not occur...for example you killed a monster, that monster dropped a gold item, you
are just about to take the item...and imagine what?the connection CRASHES
or maybe you have just killed a boss and you are in the middle of getting the
skill elite he carries on...and BLAM...again...your connection crashes.

If I remember correctly...this kind of error(ERROR = 007) was also due to a bug in the code of the game...and if I remember correctly again, there was
an update of the game where it was said this kind of bug was fixed...but I
should say it was not fixed totally.

I hope they will fix this error as soon as possible...

GOODBYE

Err=7 has only one influence...
Server-client connection.
When for a moment theres a distinct amount of Packetloss this will occur.
It can happen quick or it can happen over a span of time (let's say 10 secs)
There's nothing to do with a bug.
Don't you think that after 18 months they couldn't have fixed that bug by now?
I sure think they could so all the bugcrap is moot.

How is your modem crashing Anets fault? If an 007 occurs and only an 007 on your network then its a possibility it could be a server issue dropping your packets. If your entire network drops the internet, then its either an ISP or hardware issue.

So you're saying it's not possible becasue people would hack? Look at StarCraft, it has the handy feature when you lose conenciton to battlenet, you can still play, then after the game is done you're set back to the main menu. I don't believe many people hack that game, and if they try to (probably to get a high Latter ranking or win/lose thing) it would be difficult because Battle.net has done lots of things to make it harder to cheat in thatg game. It's not like Guild Wars can't do the same anti-cheating thing.

StarCraft is not a 'saved character' game.
You can set a server to connect to clients, the disconect the server and let the client play. If one of them hack-cheat, the other one will likely know sooner or later, thus he will no play again with him.
And if you lose, you don't lose anything and he does not win anything.

But here, if a player were able to cheat, he will be a ble to save his cheat-achieved progresses with titles, armor, items... until he gets banned, of course...

Sorry, but... NO WAY.
