That wasn't an attack, that Charr was just scouting ahead.

Interesting idea but if you can travel back. You make defender of ascalon an easy to get title for you can help death leveling

NF and Factions char can travel to noob island because it is on world map.
Pre searing is on a separate map, so to enable you to travel there, they must add a portal or something and of course a quest or story to explain that ( like quests to travel between chapters). And that will totally make non sense.

Presear is a big part of what makes Prophecies special, and ought not to be messed with. The you-can-never-go-back thing is a big part of why so many players are sentimental about it.
Seeing it again and helping a friend are both things that can be done with a brand new character. Last time I was there was because a friend just bought the game. He had a level 5 ranger in presear, so I made a brand new level 1 mesmer and ran around with him. If I could've brought a level 20 character I'd have rendered him completely useless and stolen all the glory. Instead he got to be the star while I offered suggestions. Was more fun for both of us that way.

Urgh! Absolutely not, one shudders at the thought. Level 20-ies from 'outside' running around would destroy the whole feel pre-searing.
/notsigned with prejudice.
As for the not trading so you don't flood the tutorial with items that do not belong there... You know how ridiculously easy that would be to get around, don't you?
Team up, you can still team up with people in pre-sear, remember. Go outside, drop something on the ground and the other person in the party picks it up.
There you go!

Pre searing is what makes Prophecies special, the fact that you can never go back once you decide to leave and fight the Charrs.

Pre searing has gone untouched since the start of GW and should remain so!

Good lord this is the dumbest suggestion Ive heard.
PS works because its isolated and limits you to a set amount of skills. being overpowered there removes any challange and the fun along with it.
plus it happened in the past. no reliving, ignoring the timeline, whatever. it works how it is, why change it because you 'want to see a place'?

Well then make a new character.. there are too many possible exploits and problems that can arise from something like this, when you can just sit down and have a new presear char in like 3 minutes. Oh, and worried about getting killed by a level 3 wolf? Just do a few quests for crying out loud, you can level to level 5 in the time it takes to read a stop sign.

I've wanted something like this. I do miss pre-searing. On idea would be to have a sort of special realm you could visit that has the map of pre (sans outposts, just one large map). Of course, enemies would be scaled appropriately. Those skale tads would be like, level 20 or something, etc.

I'm having an unique feeling called 'morriña' (Prononce morhinya rh like rhino and ny like canyon) that only the people of my land can feel. I must go back there again.
Make it be a dream. Make it be 'Melandru's' realm. Make them level 31, I don't care.
I just want to go there and see the green lains with my first character again. Or I'll start to cry blood or something like that.

Fine idea in concept, but it would be abused beyond belief. There's no point in going back with a character other than nostalgia, and I doubt ANet cares about that enough to waste time on it.

There may be some spoilers in what's to come, so if you havent finished Nightfall yet, stop reading here.
In a world of magic where you can bombard countries with huge crystals and fight gods, time travel is not that far out of hand. I still like the idea of going back to pre-searing, but maybe a different one.
Our well known group of heroes, Devona, Cynn, Mhenlo and Aiden find a way to travel back in time. Of course being the hero type they jump on the occasion, travel back and save the day. But upon coming back to their own time, they notice that Ascalon is still destroyed and that everything is still the way they left it. Just a proof that Ascalons destruction was inevitable nad their actions delayed the Searing only by a couple of years.
This might be a bit weird of an idea, but its not that "impossible". For hundreds of years Abbadon has prepared his comeback and giving him one blow, like trying to stop the searing, will not keep him from trying again and again. I mean even destroying two of his minions, the Lich and Shiro, didn't keep him from making a final attempt in Elona.
Anyway, just an idea. It just hurts so much that Ascalon is lost forever.
