I searched first and didn't see any threads on this, but I may have missed them.

I would like to see some form of identification for guild officers and leaders in the alliance chat. Their names could be different colors, or an [Officer] or [Leader] tag could be added to the message.

Example: Character Name [TAG] [Officer]: <text>

You'd need something shorter than Leader or Officer, maybe (Of) or (L)

ex. A character named "One Two Three" who is an officer, in Guild name "Hello" with tag [Hi] saying blah would be

One Two Three [Hi]-Of: Blah

or

One Two Three [Hi] *Of*: Blah

I like this idea for identifying who may be talking on the Alliance channel. What sort of authority they have within their guild.

Why not make the Leader's text color be RED and Officer BLUE.........

i dont know how many times people havent realised i was the leader of the alliance, and tried to trash talk me

That's always fun, I had some idjits from a guild we at K O S were temporarily allied with call an officer of mine (that only PVPs) a Care-Bear because he said something about PVE

Then they told another officer that he was lying about how much Balthazaar Faction he had gotten over the course of his playtime, their reason being that it capped below that number (which it did, before Factions)... Needless to say I booted them from our alliance.

Right now we're alliance free, and although I'd like to get into a good alliance that was PVE/PVP focused (not FF/AB focused), it's not exactly my top priority.

I think that ____________ [KOS] [L] and __________ [KOS] [O] would be useful denotations of rank in alliances. However if they would implement some sort of alliance roster then it would be less useful.

I really like this idea! Would definately help. It is frustrating when people question your authority.

If we had a viewable Alliance Roster there'd be no need for for additional tags. Adding a tab next to the guild roster for the alliance roster is more favorable of an addition to me, as the trouble of alliance chat is figuring out everyone's additional character names without adding them to your friend list.

I like this idea too, but I think having BOTH the Leader/Officer tag in the alliance chat and an alliance roster page would be the best possible solution.

not sure why it's needed. so if the leader/officer of a guild/alliance said something stupid the members won't trash talk them? Or "hey i'm the leader of the alliance if u trash me i'll make u stfu by kicking ur guild out", or (say HA for example) "oh the officer from that guild is making a team let's join him, he's uber r100000" isnt that some kind of rank discrimination (in this case the position in the guild)?

because one of the guilds in our alliance was breaking up they all wanted to join our guild and cos my name is one of the easiest to remember guess who got asked over and over again even though hes not an officer

If people question your authority it is because you dont use it enough and you havent made yourself known.

Im a simply officer in the guild im part of. It is a rather big alliance and I still have no problem telling someone to STFU or not do something when they need it. I think that respecting someones authority does not depend wether they have a (L) or a (O) tag, it depends on how they act.

For example:

If my guild leader said something completely idiotic or unnecesary, id still backtalk or tell him to STFU the same way id tell a member. If he kicks me then, hes inmature for not reasoning of his ways. However if he confronts me, hell show leadership and authority which will make him get known in the alliance and people will respect him wether he has or doesnt have a tag.

It is a good idea, but I see it as a poor excuse for officers and leaders who are nobody's to abuse their title.
