Default Spawn portals [SHRINES]

Hi,

on today I got hell-mad mood. Few months ago I cannot remember any of these situations, but now - it just kills the spirit. We're not talking about gameplay. We're not talking about having fun. We are not even talking about pleasure and enjoyment of GW. This is mad, sick and ill.

I'm not talking about support for cheaters - I am far from it. But during the gameplay, THE GAME itself MUST give to players some freedom. Some space to accomplish ideas. Let's just assume: You don't have to kill a monster, but You can simply cripple the target and run through. This is something, which was very precious in the "Prophecies only" times.

I will operate on the example, it will be easier to get the idea.
I wanted to capture elite skill for Necro -> Jagged Bones. It is outside Abaddon's Gate. The way is long enough, there are LOTS of appearing patrols, groups and occasional coming-out-of-nowhere's. OF course, the Torment creatures are the worst - mostly the ones, which use torment spells and replicate themselves. Most of the time I tried to kill all the groups. OF course, in different ways of making them die - luring, sometimes - running with full power. That is ok. But what is NOT OK with me is the spawn after death of the team.
Of course, in a moment the full globetrotters circus appeared (About 20 enemies) and I died. On the way I had visited (really, talked to the guard and even walked over) the respawn shrines (portals). So it was logical for me, that after the death I'd respawn near the latest (newest visited on thw way). How nervous I became, when the whole team was respawned near the 1st (not counting the start one), with full enemies over it. The team died in 8 seconds. Respawn - again the same place - death in 8 secs. But of couse, the enemies were replicating, making minnions and so on. After 10 deaths there was no point in playing more. 50 "reds" on the radar.

Now the description: I know, that it may happen, that near the shrine many enemies may appear. Shit happens - this is the commentary for it.
NORMAL SITUATION IS (as I see the whole) that sometimes You just cannot go back and grab the dead hench. This is NORMAL - You decide to go further, as over the dead body of the hench, there are enemies already.
But what I DO NOT understand and cannot stand even is, that somehow only traveling near the spawn shrine with FULL SQUAD (???) makes You spawn there after the death!!!!! This is absolutely bullshit. And it happens!!! I won;t give my head, if only the full squad "Enables" the shrine, of percentage of it (let's assume for example - 3/4, 7/9, 144/666 etc.). But the problem is, that this idiotism idea exists. And DIDN'T EXIST in the Prophecies.

As I wrote in previous messages, all the changes in newest and newest patches go into one direction: to limit more, not to let gamers THINK, not to practise tactics. GW goes over and over into idea, just to turn off Your mind and like a stupid sportswear-fatneckers -> attack, attack, attack. IS this the way to improve the game?

I'm having a feeling, that after Prophecies, the coding squad changed dramatically. Great ideas from that time, solutions and others - were perfect. Now, it's a pity to drop a line. So, defenders of ANET, and I know there are plenty of You on the forum, don't give me crap ideas like "maybe NF is not for You" or "Give up GW". This is not the idea, this is not the solution. Why? Because I pad money, like thousands of other people. Why? Because normal situation is, that I wanted to enjoy the storyline, and also - grab the skills, which appear in the newest parts of GW - which absolutely change the gaming of PvP or GvG.

So I got a little lost in that whole rant.
However would the suggestion of monsters staying away from shrines after x time satisfy you? :P
(Which I think is a not half bad idea since I suffered the same problem as you a couple of times)

Hi,

sorry for huge workaround. Well, this is one of the point
What I was up to is actually 2:

1. For the monsters to stay away from the shrine, just for the distance, when You can recharge the skills and try to attack one of them (alike shrines are "holy ground" and they cannot come near it)
2. For the shrines themselves - if ANY of the team mates runs onto it, walks onto it, walkes VERY near it - they "activate" themselves, no matter of the conditions of the team. So it means, that if the team DIES, the team STARTS from the last shrine activated - NOT the previous one. OR even the previous-previous. I simply DON'T GET IT. It was just here:
