Default New Interface and Party window PLEASE? (Not another idiotic topic)

I hope in Nightfall, that, there will be new things like new Party Windows. Like, I dont like the Red HP Health Bar... Ok anyways here are my ideas.

What i hope for Nightfall:

- When Full Health, the color of the bar on the party window is Green.
- When Takes damage, the color changes to Yellow.
- When Person is below 25% Health, the color changes to Red and It flashes (So monks can heal them attentioned.)

- When there's Enchanments on a Guy, there should be a word like [E-CHANT] and not a blue ^ triangle shape.

- When there's Hex on a guy, there should be a word like [HEXED] and not a Pink upside down triangle shape.

- When there's a Condition on a guy, there should be like a [CRIP], [BURN], [BLIND], [BLEED], etc... and not just a Brown upside down triangle shape.

- And Center of the Red Health Bar, there should be like you're remaining health in numbers like this:

[==Red Bar=====Yellow-------436 Health----------Bar=Green Bar]

(Sorry if that's confusing)

And you're Energy should be shown in the party window therefore People will know how much energy you have and thats when BIP necros come in handy.

- Also, I'm tired of the Red numbers shown in screen, like... Whenever you take damage there's like a red number on top of you're character. That is like so boring.

- How about, When you take 1-25 Damage theres a red number shown in top of you're character

- Then, whenever you take 26-50 Damage theres a FlASHY NOTICABLE red number shown in top of you're character.

- Last but not least, whenever you take 51 or more damage The screen shakes and theres a Flashy BLOODY NOTICABLE red number shown in top of you're character.

Ok thats all my ideas.

Call me if im stupid. But you got to admit, this is a great Addition in Nightfall. Besides, what us, Playas and gangstas, have got to lose?

Please, feel free to post up flaming and suggestions ^^

While I can respect wanting to break out the conditions so they are individually identifiable, it seems that all of those text labels could stack up and be difficult to quickly concern. Imagine a ranger and necro attacking you. It is quite possible you will be crippled, dazed, hexed, and poisoned. Add an enchant to that as you try to heal yourself. Your bar now looks like.

[Crip] [Poison] [Hexed] [Dazed] [E-Chant]

Add a paragon and you can have [Echo] [Shout] [Chant] in there too.

That just seems like it might be getting a bit too unwieldy.

As for the bar UI, I can see where color changes may be a good change as long as they don't get too out of hand. That said, I believe the preferences should always allow them to be turned off as I think the flashing <25% would irritate me.

In response to the energy bars, I can definitely see when this could be advantageous...maybe an improvement would be to make each player have a + next to their names that would bring down a tree or just an E bar. I suggest that because there are times when I would want to know and others where I figure calling is enough and would rather avoid the clutter.

For the damage appearing above the head, I can't say I often pay attention to those. They can be kind of amusing to watch the energy or health roll in with certain builds but they aren't going to change my order of attack typically. So, again, I'd have to say this one is a bit too flashy for my tastes as the health bar usually gives me enough info. Then again, 15k armor is usually too embellished for my tastes as well so that will give you a grounding with which to judge my comments.

hm...the current interface is fine...but I still like the interface before this one better.

However, there should be an option to turn off those annoying number above your head. I mean...a few number is fine, but when you have Balthazar's Spirit, Essence Bond, Sympathic Visage, Anciestor's Visage, and Spirit Bond on you...the screen just become full of numbers.

I think the one we saw in the nightfall preview was a good change.

I don't think that filling everything with "e-chant / hexed" is going to make anything more "user friendly"

yay for team energy though!

I agree with the need for the interface change. But just not exactly the one posted.

This is not needed as we Monks can already tell what you are suffering from before you do and if it turn to green with may spam mend condition as to poison. We don't need our IU changed./Notsigned.

The monks can see ur health just fine

A little obnoxiously cluttered? Having the condition they are suffering's icon pop up next to them would be much better, but its still obnoixous. But even if this was implemented, i think it would make things a little too easy, and the need to communicate with your team would drop even more.

Whats wrong with just seeing the bar?

Would be helpful, but again it takes down the need to communicate even further.

So theyd take even more of your attention away? IMO theyre fine how they are

If you can't figgure out simple icons like an up arrow and a down arrow, what makes you think that complicated things like text letters will be any better? lol

playas and gangstas? foo? give me a break.

The only UI change i'd really like to see is the option to turn off skill popup boxes. :P

I wouldn't mind seeing the party's energy. But someone low on Energy can Ctrl+Click it just as easily...
I wouldn't mind seeing the health bar change color the lower it goes.

I couldn't stand it if the up/down arrows were changed to text instead.

When playing as a Monk, I spend most of my time looking at the party box instead of the rest of the UI, and have gotten pretty good at telling what is 50%. To any other class, this info wouldn't matter.

And any Warrior who can't call out, "I've got Blind on me!" doesn't get it removed. It's just that simple. What do you imagine the party bar would look like when a necro hits someone with 3 (or more) conditions? Do you want all that text across the bar?

Yeah, I think a new addition like this might just hurt.

I DO wish that the condition arrow didn't overlap the hex arrow... It would be nice if they were next to each other...

I DO wish that (in PVP at least) you got an {O}pponent box for quick switching of targets. It would get nasty quickly in PvE, so not there.

I DO wish that this were posted in Sardelac. It ain't Nightfall specific, or it's way too late.

If they implemented a screen shake for damage over 51, I'd stop playing. I hate it when games do that. A party energy bar is the only thing I agree with, as I mostly play a necro.

PS. Use proper grammar, because this makes it another 'idiotic' topic.

There are a few non-Monk skills which work on <50% health conditionals so it isn't just monks who would benefit. Just food for thought.
