/not signed for having a buy back option if you are in so much of a rush that you sell some items you didn't wish to sell.
|
Agreed on the speed/streamline of the selling process. I wish u could flag items, or even bags as not for selling, untill u deflag it

I sold something valuable by mistake *ONCE*. Now I keep all my valuables in my bags and I uncheck them in the window. I haven't had a problem since.

I dont think you should be able to "buy back", they should just make the merchant window a list with check-boxes with quantities and a "Purchase" or "Sell" button with a confermation popup. My main problem is that I accidentally double click when I want to buy a stack of 4 keys, or buy an extra salvage kit I dont need or have room for.

SELL SCREEN
BIG GREEN CHECK MARKS OVER EACH AND EVERY BAG/BELT POUCH/BACKPACK.
uncheck any you want.
redo if you add a new character as it is account based and all bags on is the default

It's really needed for just 1 item to be remembered and just for a few minutes. WoW style buying back of 10 or even more items may be too much or... whatever. But even 1 item would be good.

As for the bags, i didnt know that nor noticed that, still i have quite full bags, and often stuff like id kits, salvage kits, several weapons are in my backpack, unprotected. I dont make too much mistakes with it, but clicking can go too fast, so once i sold my stack of dyes in there which was placed in the backpack due transfer, while bags and belt were full. I would prefer to have the option still to flag items. Then everything is fine with me, thx for the tip, much obliged, and will organize belongins so that they end up in protected bags

But seriously, /signed.
It's a great idea. People who say "No, just watch what your selling.", wait until you sell something worth 100k+ due to lag.

/Notsigned. Hopefully players are no longer small children that want 'takebacks'. I've made the same mistake as I'm sure many have. I've sold some stuff that would have been really helpful. So I started using the quest item/holiday hat trick to block what I don't want sold.
I'm not trying to bash anybody, but if you make that kind of mistake: learn from it, find a way around it, and move on.
But that's just my two cents

This is so strange, I don't understand why people wouldn't want it. Just make it like World of Warcraft - the last 10 items you sold to the vendor are stored until you log out. Simple.
People make mistakes.

Oh, you mean you don't sell items to vendors in World of Warcraft and Guild Wars?
News to me.

Oh that's right, because Guild Wars tries to be like WoW by adding something useful from WoW.

thats precicely my point
and the idea was merchant only, not traders, cos they already have a "request quote" option...
and to all the ppl who think "omg u stupid noobs, watch wat ur selling, just cos lag does not exist in the game and the 'sell' button isnt 1mm away from the 'goodbye' button".... and yes, i did get this from WoW, so wat?
heres a simple layout plan...
PS. i kno, dont need to tell me, i am a mspaint god

my word. it isnt difficult. Just make the dividing item a quest item or a pet. the trader doesnt buy those so and overzealous clicking wont result in lost goodies.

Instead of calling it buyback, name it refund. Make it so you have to pay double the gold you sold it for to buy it back. i.e. If you sold for 500g, you buy for 1k. There we go, we now have a system totally different then WoW.

Just learn to be more careful with what you sell, that way you won't have to buy things back. I sold the wrong thing by accident once, and learned from the mistake. I haven't made the same mistake since.

I honestly don't see why this would be such a bad addition. I only read the first page of this, but from the /notsigned reasons, none of them really help; just more excuses to reject someone trying to improve the game. It helps the people who make that one mistake, and doesn't hurt anyone else.
