I dont like the idea of getting a point ONLY if you give the gift. You can help your team in other ways besides being the runner. Maybe if your team loses and you run a gift you get a gift also. A single shard maybe for each gift ran.

If ANet just allowed you to form teams this wouldn't be a problem. A lot of people including me leave when they have a team of noobs because we don't like to waste our time.

Nah, I wouldn't bother giving points for participation. The event already started, and doesn't last long. Although the "Skillz" title is cool, it's not something most people strive for. You will have other holidays to work on that title if you want. For now, the Snowball Arena should just be for fun.

I've been playing for over 4 hours now and over half the teams I get when going in have a leech.

Is it that hard for Arena.net to notice a player that has a script to hit the enter mission button? Is it that hard for them to see that through out an entire game a player's client has sent out NO actions to the server?

This was just as bad when ABs came out, now it's worse because you only have a limited amount of time available to play these games. Those sorry sad ass programmers need to get off their asses and people need to start complaining because it looks like the devs don;t give a flying fsck.

then people will complain their random team get trashed by organized team.

Why not? You already get good Balthazar Faction if you're a leech...

I think I already suggested that if you lose, your whole team should get 1 CCS, but people always respond with "IT PROMOTES TEH LEECHES LERN2PLAY N00B."

So, I think we should make it that when you lose, you also lose ALL the faction you earned during the snowball fight. That'll teach those AFKers, right? If you lose, you wasted your time because you get NOTHING! Everyone wins!

That's the Christmas spirit! Award the players that win, and take everything away from those that lose!

Hmmm... While we're at it, why don't we have a thing that appears under the "DEFEAT" text that says "Learn2Play, n00b".

make kills/present return a perk kinda deal like in RA, not enough to make you wanna afk it but enough to make you want to try a little bit harder.

1 kill=1 point
1 present returned=1 points
1 win= 5 points

points based on work put it FTW

for me average for losing team due to -1 player is like idk maybe 1-5 kills and maybe 0-2 presents based on team ( i have been able to win 15 in a row during a 70 win streak but the team was just completly steller)

i think they should add a new game here or there, theres freakin like more than 10 districts in US, its rediculous. and yes losers should get some points because sometimes you just get stuck on a losing team, not full points but maybe half, and maybe, just maybe raise the winning points. otherwise good job on the wintersday celebrations

eh, i see how "newbs" who play expecting to get this title get upset loosing and then wondering how they will get the title. and honestly, i do believe you should get a point for entering the arena, regardless of a win or not.

yes, you will get leechers and afkers. but so what, this "gamer" title is a pve title based on special events, do you honestly think it has meaning? stop trying to put meaning behind titles. theres not a single title in the game that can not be farmed, get over this elitism you all have for the titles.

It is PvP title, you play snowball against other players unlike UW wintersdays quests .... snowballing against NPCs.

Why not just auto-KICK afks? If game see you are not moving in 2 minutes = KICKED! and delete all factions or whatever that character wins in that 2 minutes.

Im already on 2000 points and havnt had a problem getting them. If im in a bad group I quit and go in again. And for me, 1 in 5 groups turn out to be perfect non moronic players.

So if its taking you more then 5 trys a time to get a good group, maybe your the reason the group isnt doing well?

What would be better, a lot better, and this has problably been mentioned enough times, is if we could make our own teams. 4 Skillz+ players on vent would be awesome.
