Key Bind Mapping
My idea is to be able to map to any place by simply using a key bind...
For example, Ctrl + Shift + P(insert any other key here) maps to Heroes Ascent and Ctrl + Shift + I LA... and so on.
The can be user defined just like all other key binds.

Nice idea, but personally the number of clicks isn't so bad that I'd need something like this.

Umm, if you use a PvE char for PvP.. Clicking around is very bad, especially if you have to go somewhere like torment to buy a skill..

Mapping sucks with the addition of the realm of torment since a lot of players are there. To get to HA from DoA is through portal (1), ride the boat whee (2), and then go to HA (3). There just needs to be a better mode of mapping. I mean honestly we know the crystal desert connects tyria and elona, why not make it more userfriendly and have the map scroll.

from DoA -> Guild Hall (assuming you have a guild) (1)
GH -> HA (2)
that's better

Repeat that going back to DoA or go somewhere else like ToA from DoA then. That was a bad example. And I say ToA because my friend doesn't have nightfall so I have to leave the continent.

Much more than that, there is really no reason not to be lazy in a video game.. We're meant to have fun..

Exactly!!
And what would make the arduous task of mapping, loading, mapping, loading more fun??
Key binds!

I'd say lets send Anet some sticky tape, so they can join the maps up.
Also, instead of the usual loading screen upon entering the vortex, we could have some cool doctor who animation with flying phoneboxes, or even Dorothy in that tornado in The wizard of Oz.
Mix it up a bit, and have a charr riding a bike flying past the window.
Failing that, i'm in favour for a key bind mapping thingy. It shouldn't be too hard to do, but what the heck do i know? lol.
