I hate it to see my chat box spammed with stuff like:
monster drop ____ wich your party reserve to____.
adding gold to the item would only spam more. I would sign if theyre was a way to turn these message off like we do for local, guild, team, trade, alliance and emote.

I really don't want anymore text scrolling by. I use the semicolon/space bar sequence to find and pick up all drops after a battle. What I would like to see added is a way to pick up all available drops with one or two keystrokes.

If they allow you to disable and able gold coin notifaction /sign

If they dont allow you to toggle it then /unsigned

It would be great to see
"Mountain Troll Drops 88 gold coins."
Now if im gold farming I dont want to see tons of that notifaction.

Also I dont play with my speakers on because I have to be aware of whats going around me in my house. Most the time to make sure I get all my gold coin drops I press the show allies button to see what I didnt pick up but being notified it dropped would be wonderful.

Whats the difference anyway? so now we have to get anet to support your "Lack of interest" in looking around... next thing will be the "lack of interest" of having to click on the gold drop instead of just instantly appearing in your inventory.

That sarcasm seems harsh but I have already SEEN this suggestion made and its frustrating to say the least.

I just don't know what game you guys seems to want, it certainly is not what your playing; so I don't see why your a "fan" of the game at all.

Its bad enough when people argue over existing drops and get all petty about not getting a gold from a chest you just got a gold from, Or with people complaining you got a green when they didn't. The drops are what they are, nothing more nothing less. I would much prefer the removal of the alerts from the system then adding more. because its YOUR responsibility to pick up YOUR drops. if you do not, well thats your fault.

Part of the problem in the game occurs when game play STOPS in order to argue or threaten to leave when others that have not demand things of people that have got. If You and only You got the alert that would be far better then allowing everyone in the party to see that you got a gold drop or a green drop and then the problems start. You have no idea how many fissure and anguish runs have fallen apart on the 3rd or 4th gold chest for someone and others have gotten only purples start bitching and then rage quit over it... Now your stuck in an area someone has zero chance in with a reduced party, and you have to start all over from scratch. Prime example, the Gem drops in anguish. If your tank does not get it your going to be screwed over unless you give it to them. Period, Exclamation, ... Extortion to the Nth degree!

How would I know something dropped for me if there is nothing to tell me something dropped for me? I personally love going on FOW runs because alot of the times people dont pick up there white drops and I run back and pick them up I I'd it and its worth about 90goldso please keep that up.

unique = purple text
greens = blod green text

y not make something like this
blue items = blue text
white items n $$$ = white or green text

and able to toggle them on or off like the /emotes

In the case above I was meaning the removal of party drop alert system. make it private to the person its dropped for, if need be; rather then the whole party seeing it... and it causing a problem later.

Before I knew of the ";" button, I had big problems with this, not anymore, but still, sometimes chests are in the way between a drop and you and if you not reading your drops, you'll just miss them, so it's not a bad idea to have something to tell you when money drops.

all i am saying is that it would be nice if we could be notified when gold drops, since i have TS on when im in the game and i cant hear the gold drop. Also, just because i am making a suggestion to Anet about the announcement of money drops, doesnt mean i should not be a fan of the game, or that i shouldnt play it. I have what seems to me to be a reasonable request for Anet, and i dont want to be criticized because i felt that it should be asked and i didnt know it had been asked before. If someone posts on something that was already posted, big deal, it was a mistake, maybe they couldnt find anything on it in the search, or maybe they just posted it thinking it was something no one had posted before. Again, i dont appreciate being criticized for making a suggestion to Anet that i feel would improve the game.

Oh, and one more thing, this feature would be optional, and could be turned on and off from the options window!!!!!

Ingram, that idea you just posted about the private feature for drops would be a nice addition to the game, reducing spam of drop announcments.
