Alliance Arenas - PvPvE
Alliance battles as a good PvP area, where not only "best builds" win, but and best tactics. However as maps are not equal for the attackers and the defenders, there are many people that do not accept to play there. F.e. maps like Ancestral Lands and Canaai Canyon, are almost impossible to win when you play as attacker. For that reason when we play as defender in such maps, we have too many restarts of timer, loosing a lot of time without playing (dont forget we have a real life too).Yesteray I wait 40 minutes to do a battle of 5 Minutes and then again waiting! - "It is ridiculus" players shout! I note here, that most people prefer do FFF instead of ABs for gaining factions for their guilds, thus this is also a reason too for having so many timer restarts due to lack of enemies!
I'd propose just to add some new Alliance Battle maps. Not necessary replace the current ones. What I have think of is to create a PvPvE environment. Create the Alliance Arenas (AA)!. In the First JPG image I have attach, I ve drawn such a stage just to see what I mean. Like old Roman years, when people go and fight other people with lions in, it would be so good, Luxons to Fight kurzicks with powerfull (slow moving better!) monsters in the game. The stages should be compact, thus the primary target is to "avoid and kill". I remember few times me as defender in Ancestral Lands, fighting MOB vs MOB for 10 minutes to keep the Bridge - Epic Battles! .. And the score will depend of the kills and deaths each size has, as I write in the jpg file.
But if you do something like this, less people will play Alliance Battles. Thus I believe you have to set for 3 times a day, 3 hours of Alliance Arenas. Thus instead of people playing Alliance Battles, in specific hours to play Alliance Arenas. And in Alliance Arenas, people not to gain just Faction and Balthazar Faction, but also and some small amounts of Gold (only the winners - 500g each member). To clear that out, suppose you have 3 maps of Alliance Arenas. Then the time scedule can be set, as it is shown in Alliance_Arenas_Time_Schedule.jpg file. Each day, all maps will start one time later. Thus all players will be able to play ABs and AAs together, having more fun!
Also with the new capabilities of NF (flying islands f.e.) you should create more interesting maps, with different levels in z-axis (3D). I Show you such a stage, in the Alliance_Battle_New_Map.jpg file. More compact stages, with different levels in z-axis -> Towers etc. The good with GW is that people can see inside their players eyes, thus really 3D stage mapping can be achieved! - Like playing FPS, but much more better. - Think of stages of Quake, Unreal Turnament, etc. And pvp games like: Capture the Flag, in future!
It would also be good, to increase to Defensive A.I. of Shrine Hences. It's not logical, to do to them a MetorShower or an area effect and they stay still, like nothing happens! Or the Rt to place all the spirits in the same position, thus with a simple area effect they all die.
That's what I had to tell... And really... We need new maps!.. From summer I play the same and the same maps! :P

Ps. Although before I post, I search a bit, and found another proposal for PvPvE, I am refering clearly to add Alliance Battles and PvPvE style with the same style of creation of 3 teams per side. Reading that post, I believe PvPvE should be implemented, either as described there (for 4 teams) either as here (alliance battles style) either with some other way.
