I am almost 20th level, with my third character. Although I don't have the perceived wealth as most people claim to have (as I don't buy money), I have plenty of items that I could use extra storage for. For example, I utilize collectors clean and perfect weapons exclusively. I sell most if not all of my gold finds, unless there is a component that I can use and I only use two green items (rago's fire wand and the equivalent air wand). My point is that those that need more storage only means that they play the game actively and if you do, you will find and farm many great items that are worth keeping. So in all of my round about way, I support an honest grinding class of players that really need more storage, as someone before mentioned, if they continue to give out "collector" items.

I desperately need more storage! 4 armor sets, 4 weapon sets, materials, dyes, some holiday collectibles and a small handful of unauctioned items and I am out of room.
We need double the storage, or be able to buy additional storgae from the Xunlai. Even 1k/slot would be fine.
Or double our storage if we complete the game/all quests.

Wardrobe storage.
I think we should be able to have a storage for our outfits. You can only access this storage in towns/outposts like you normaly do. Keeps everything nice and organized and is easily selectable from one complete outfit to another.
This would get people try collect and get all the outfits. People like filling up empty boxes, to feel like the game is more complete, adds more to do/collect. This would be an increase money sink for runes you put on as well. Also will give us PVE'ers a needed hand to better compete with different pvp builds. Like going from aeormancers to pyromancers build after a loss to try something new.
plzzz.

It would be nice if we could get a response about this valid issue Gaile
With the advent of heroes comes the need to save collectors items, runes, insignias, possibly more than 1 set of armor for different functionalities, keys and other items like holiday goodies multiplied times the 10 full-time characters I have on my account, I'm miserable keeping track of all of this stuff and scared to death to sell anything in case my heroes could use something. I am overwhelmed and need relief, mule characters just are not doing the job anymore. 10 CHARACTERS x 12 HEROES=130 EQUIPS...A LOT OF STUFF TO KEEP TRACK OF (INCLUDING CHARACTERS THEMSELVES)

Why not add tabs for collectables? Three tabs, one for each continent's collectables, would also be nice. Xunlai agents in Tyria would enable you to buy "Tyrian Collectables" storage, canthan ones "Cantha Collectables" and elonian ones "Elona Collectables". I for one have lots of collectable drops in my inventory, mostly because I equip my heroes with collector stuff. Also, I like to keep "trophys" from slain monsters. My warrior has two stacks of Charr Hides. She doesn't like the Charr. Not one bit. She considers herself somewhat of a Charr Flayer.

Isnt this post a bit redundant now, as it was made in 2005 and we now have:
Hat makers who can make any event hat you have won, so you dont have to store them.
Heroes, who can be used to hold one green weapon of ever profession. Saving you storage space.
Improved material storage.

No, this post is not redundant. And I do not really see how the hat maker helps my character who tries to collect all hats and now has 10 hats, dyed to match her armour, in her inventory. I have no desire to destroy my collection and I don't wish to HAVE TO JUMP to some other city and pay 10g and get an undyed hat every time as I want to play around.
Sure, it helps to save the space for OTHER characters on the same account (although they still keep their dyed dragon masks), but it does not help my main char a whit.
Improved material storage? Hardly. Just 250 items in a stack when most armours require 400 items of basic materials? A half-measure.
We NEED more storage, and it cannot be stressed too much.

Easy tiger, I was just pointing out improvements for some of the issues mentioned.
I agree the storage system is in serious need of improving.
But I wouldnt agree that the 250 cap on materials is bad. We need that cap to prevent people hording materials. Perhaps a small increase, but we still need a cap on it.
Imagine there was no limit and the rich ingame players bought every ecto that existed. We would soon run out of those and every other material.
As for the hat storage. It is an improvement. I agree about dying them, because one of mine is black. But its better then nothing. Atleast this way you can will always have a copy.

so instead of causing anet to spend more money maintaining servers for more junk, buy another account get your space and support the game that you love.

I bought a copy of factions. Had I NOT linked the accounts, I would have gotten 4 more characters, a xunlai vault, and material storage for those characters. I then bought a copy of nightfall. Again, had I not linked the account, i would have gotten 4 complete character slots, ANOTHER Xunlai vault, and ANOTHER materials storage vault. Because I linked the accounts, I got... 4 character slots total, no extra xunlai vaults, and no extra materials storage...
I think that each campaign you add to an account should open up a new xunlai vault tab, at the very least. Personally, I believe that we shoudl get one vault tab and one materials storage tab per campaign that we own and link to an account. There should be no reason why we should have to buy 2 copies of each campaign just to address storage problems (although if i WERE to do that, you can bet I wouldn't link the second copies.)
I DO support the game, by buying the campaigns as they come out. I can accept losing 2 character slots for the ability to switch between characters on the account, but honestly: by linking accounts, you lose a vault, a material storage tab in that vault, and 2 character slots tht could be used as mules. That's quite a bit of storage space that SHOULD be included in each chapter, that gets lost because we continue to play ONE account instead of 2 (or 3.)

Absolutely signed.
I'm getting desperate now. 10 characters, each with at least three armour sets (some with twice that ^^'), and at least three weapon sets, all necessary for different builds. I can barely pick anything up in explorable areas anymore.
My mules are full with stuff I need, never mind the stuff I want to sell.
My Xunlai vault has a stack of each colour dye (so all my characters can try combos without spending a fortune), second stacks of materials, a stack of trade contracts, a few stacks of keys...
All in all, I'm left with only two or so slots (at the best of times) to transfer things between my poor, overloaded characters.
Armor storage would save me a ton of space.
Perhaps storage for customised items? Armor and weapons...?
I've already bought four extra character slots just for storage - I'm beginning to think it might serve me better to buy another account.
Another account! Just so I have somewhere to put my items!
I think this is starting to get a bit ridiculous... ;_;

heh you can. buy another character slot . ..
That's probably what anet's going for in not increasing storage. They're probably just hoping people will buy another slot.

Very well said! And yes in a way we are being penalized for linking our games.
