I think people have missed my point. I am not saying we be locked into our own district. I have English friends that I love to play with. My gripe is making a "neat and tidy" area for aussies. We do have a large fan base, I know this from sales of all three chapters being sold at EB's around the country (not including the other various game stores that sells it).
Spain has there own district!!!

Ok 2 things; One slightly small, the other really stupid!
The OP is talking about a District..... See that people!
A district, a single section of a town/outpost for Australians. LA normally has about 3 dist's, Dist 1 being spam central.
NOT A SERVER, that's for all the idiots who can't read to know the topic of the conversation.
Australia is defaulted to the euro server because our packs, products and support are located and shipped from the Euro offices.
It's a matter of business and cost.
80% of all Aussies I know, and same for New Zealanders, have jumped servers to the North American one.
English is spoken and the timezone isnt such a hassel.
MMSDome
Arrogant much, I see Australian guilds taking favour all the time, TTA,LAW, AUST...
Sadly I'm not going to cast a say on the petion, I'm a NA server member and I like it.

Only because it'll give the Aussies one less thing to moan about when the lads return to England, still with the Ashes in their possession.

Just out of curiousity, how can you get onto NA servers? The only dist's I have available to me is English, French, Italian, German, Spanish, and International. But International is rubbish because its only asians over there and I can't read there text.

May as well separate the nutters from every1 else. My understanding of the districts is that they are language based rather than country based. Tbh if you're not going to meet any Australians wandering around the English district how will it be any different with an Australian District? And do people expect Australians to move from the American server to the European one becasue of a new district?.

Australians speak English, they are fine in American or English districts. Time zone doesn't make a difference, because any Australians should be in that district, already. Having an Australian district just separates them and they will have less people to play with.
If they add a district it should be a Dutch one, because all the Dutch people speak Dutch in the English district and it's annoying. There are many many Dutch players, and it has been suggested before.

Not Dist... Server.
Once you have logged in to your account, click edit account. One of the options is to change the Territory, That will change you from the European server to the North American server.
Becareful, you can only change Territories a limited number of times. And then your stuck.
or untill you buy the next chapter, when you given another chance to change

I'm an Aussie but I don't think there are enough Aussies playing GW to warrant having a separate server. But if the numbers are there then do it.

Or celebrating retaining them! The match at the Gabba was a crafty ploy to lure you into a false sense of security.

Im Australian and I dont care, so what if we have our own dist? Id still be in the american ones because thats where all the people are, I moved out of European dists because they didnt have enough people.
Most Australians dont play during my hours anyway, I play at 11 at night, most Australian players are asleep by then.

Oh no....not this again.... well at least it isnt on the general discussion.
Anyways good luck on the Petition. GOOOoooo OZZZZ(s)
Edit: btw does the Brits have their own district as well? never been the EU server long enough to find out. If they dont, then i suppose its hard to justifty for one for the OZ(s) and NZ.

OP... just to ensure that people read your post. Can you edit it and add this in please^^? (Include bold inserts)
Please Read: This is a petition for an Australian District, not an Australian Server!!
There are two problems with this idea however:
1. Regardless of what Roshi says, Both America and Australia speak English. The reason that would warrant Australians the ability to have their own distance is because of their long distance away from America/Europe
2. Australasians are already split across both America and Europe. To reduce lag and have the ability to interact with a bit more people, Aussies transfer from Europe. What will likely happen if Anet see this thread, is that they'll put the district onto the Eurpean server, because... by default...erm... we're under the commonwealth???
Renaming this thread to Australasia would be better. I'm from NZ, and as much as I *cough* love *cough* Australia, well...

lol now im curious. can someone post a screenie on teh diff dist (as in the drag down bar on the upper left) in Euro server
cause all we have in american server is:
Lion's Arch (district 1)
Lion's Arch (district 2)
Lion's Arch (district 3)
etc etc
...
and OP i'd reckon changing to American server (how? its shown in the above post) would most likely change your experience..ta!
@terra Xin, not sure bout NZ but pretty sure there wont be any lag if you've a decent connection.

@ Sessior-
Fanbase? WE'RE A WHOLE FRIGGIN COUNTRY,a C-O-N-T-I-N-E-N-T NOT A CLUB!
A little respect please.
a) District and Server are 2 different things
b) If there was a DISTRICT i guarentee that Aussies would meet there
c) You dont even know what its like if youre not an Aussie, it gets rather lonely in a town in a euro server, and if we had an Australian district it would be a place we could meet.
d) Im sick to death of Poms moaning and poking fun at us over the Ashes (we will win by the way )
also @ Rain Knight -
We only get a certain amount of time to travel between servers, we shouldnt need to use up one of those chances just make it easier to meet with fellow Aussies.
