Pls make side quests availlable to all.
Pls make side quests availlable to all.
I tried to run an evening of vabbi quests with my guild.
A lot of side quest's availlability seem to be dependant on being at a certain stage in the game.
Even though everyone had all towns unlocked we could not find a lot of quests that everyone could get.
Some needed people to have a certain hero unlocked, some probably needed you to have finished a certain mission and so on.
This was really annoying as
Seems it's more logical to play this game with hench or heroes than friends.
You can hardly expect everyone to finish the game and unlock all heroes before starting to do side quests with friends.
Bah !
Sure we had fun, thats what friends are for, but it's sad when half the team cannot get rewards from the quests your doing.

It can not be done. Quests depends on each other.

I would agree, expect this idea of having to have followed a certain storyline to do a certain quest is what I like about NF. Anet have tried to do the multiple storyline thing where you can choose which ruite to take, and it may not be perfect, but it was a nice try.
How-ever you do realise that once you complete the game, you can go back and do every mission and quest in the game from any location?
Once all your guild friends complete the game, they should be able to do them.
How-ever if it was to be done, and you look at alternative games which let you share a quest; that could work. But you would need limits on whether they were at the right lvl do handle it.

I admit that I liked the Prophecies 'allow running' missionpathing more then the strict 'do A, then B' way.

Most Missions require other missions made.
If you want the mission that gives you 2 skill points and 5000exp 2000 gold, you'll have to do first the one that gives 10 sunspear and 500 exp.
Don't try to skip directly to the mission you want.
MAKE THEM ALL.

I agree with Makkert. I preferred the idea of Prophecies. I hated the gating in Factions and I was sad when I heard that Nightfall had a little of it too. I've always liked going where I wanted instead of where I should. I always did it in RPG's and I would like to do it in Guild Wars too. I know that Anet wants you to see the story in order, but they shouldn't force it.

You don't have to have the night ruined just because some people don't have certain quests. Just have them come along and have fun.
