Default Face Pack

A lot of you who've played Morrowind and Oblivion are familiar with the face packs released, like the Beauty mods.

I suggest that Arena Net do the same thing for this game. Make at least 15 new faces for each class, new hair styles, colors, etc. Add a stylist NPC for people that bought the face pack, so they can change their skin/hair/face any time they like, even the size of their character. The faces that are available to an account that has purchased the face pack should span across all chapters! This means I can create a character in Elona with a fro and whatnot, but later go to the stylist NPC and chose a hairstyle from Factions, and a face from Prophecies, or one of the new, face pack only ones.

If Arena Net's artists lack for that much inspiration, they could hold a contest among GW fans, similar to the new guild emblems that were introduced not too long ago.
I don't know about you guys, but I'd definitely pay 10 bucks for something like that, more if other features were included. What other features?
How about some of this?

*ability to do custom make up with a MSPaint style interface
*tattoos
*change existing face shape with stretch tools, etc
*custom colors for hair, eyes, make up, skin, etc

If all that was put in, I'd pay 40 dollars for it, maybe even 50. I hate running into other people that look like me. Down with clone wars, let us make our characters how we want!
Please? I'll give you money for it.

I really like that. There aren't enough faces IMO, I'm always meeting with my 'clones' in every city. Tattoos would be the best It was nicely done in Fable too. I like the idea. But I don't think so that this NPC will exist.

By the way

Seems too pointless to waste any time investing in.

Although $10 would be the maximum I would pay. $5 or free seems more reasonable to me. This should be a feature in every game IMO. Along the lines of tatoos, many armors would hide them making them useless. I suggest an option where we can "paint" designs on our armor. Think... "guild cape" styled interface, but for your armor. I'd have to say no to uploading images from paint though. I don't know about you but I'd rather not see tatoos/armor with offensive language/images, etc... all over the place.

As someone has mentioned with topics on Guild Armor and stuff, the main problem would be bandwidth. Everyone with so many different combinations will cause people to take forever to load towns and stuff. It's not even necessary to have all this customization. You could've thought about the looks more before you made that character.

I wouldn't pay for look customization unless I got to change into another race. Tengu, Dwarf, Centaur, maybe some enemies like Char and Naga.

Sounds a nice idea, I'd defintiely be up for anything that involved altering your chars appearances; especially hair.

I'm so sick of remaking chars because I decide I don't like something about them-yeah yeah may seem trivial but its gets at me and i remake til im happy xD

Hope anet come up with something similar at least.

I'm not for the edit-with-programs idea, as some people will give their characters pr0n features, while others will make faces so awesome everybody will bow down to them.

I like the idea of an in-game hair stylist or even some kind of mage (medieval equivalent of plastic surgery!). It could add a little bit of that social touch to Guild Wars, and we wouldn't have to make characters all over just since they are ugly.

Well in the past Anet has cited the way all your character data is stored as being why they haven't already created a stylist. They could still do it, but it would require them to rewrite a lot of code. It may come some day since it seems to keep coming up; but I wouldn't keep my hopes up for it being free.

You never see anyone's face most of the time anyhow why waste time and effort on this where they chould use effort elsewhere.

I agree that changing faces and height is pretty pointles. In game you don't really see faces very much, and the height thing you should have chosen from the start.

However, a hairstylist for each campaign would be good. I want my Tyrian ranger to have hair from Elona. Let's face it, with the later release of the games, the better and more realistic the toons look, and I think that hair should be one thing we should be able to update on our characters.
