Account Name
Here’s an idea that I think would help guilds feel more united and help them to get to know each other better.
One problem with the character names is that it is very hard to figure out who is who especially if each person’s characters have a unique name. In the guild window it shows only the name they signed up as and if they are currently playing it shows the current character’s name as well. But this is really cumbersome. You look in your guild and it is like “who is that person… oh I think that’s also so and so.. is that the same person as the one I played with yesterday…maybe I think he is also has a monk but I don’t remember the monk's name…” You get the idea.
I suggest an option of creating an account name. This account name would always show up as your name in the guild. That way every one (account) would have one name and it would be much easier to get to know who is who in the guild. Another thing you could do is when you mouse over this account name it would show all the characters on that account and their classes.

Its not that big of a problem since a bunch of people have all/most of their chars with similar names or that have the same word in them so u know who they are all the time and then u can always ask the others (ex. "who was ~ in gvg yesterday")
But, yeah, I'd still have it changed, maybe not make account names but instead of showing just the one name they got recruited with, show all the names of the chars that person has

You mean like how the friends list works?>
Yeah, that's a good idea... The only way they've implemented that atm is when you see an officer/leader posting an announcement, his/her name (when recruited) will always appear on the message. The other way also is how their default name is shown when they are offline.

Is it really that difficult to hit G and hover over someone's name to see who it is? It basically works the way you suggested already, when you hover over a name, it'll say "also ___ ___". Once invited into a guild as a given character, that's what appears on the roster from then on(even if you delete that character).
However, I do like your idea of when you hover over a name it would have an option of showing all their aliases.

How bout just joining under your all-around name. I joined under I Lampshade I (or somthing similar) so when I'm playing my monk (Shall Lighbringer) everyone goes hey it's Lampshade!

I have 10 different chars with 10 different names. Im sure im not the onlyone.
For a way better interaction between players i think all my chars in all forms of chat should b associated to my account by some sort of method.
I suggest that in all chat forms my name should appear as:
[Account Name][Char Name][Guild Tag]: Message
The Account Name would b one that we could change on account settings.
Please do something like this... it would improve the social part of the game tremendous.
