The Whole Idea of the post is in general, a quite good one.
For me, I'm intrigued about Orr, and would LOVE to see more involvement with Orr other then undead and items named after them, like maybe have a port or something like Pre-Searing to Post Searing for members, but make it like a port that says "So Many years before..." And it transports you to orr back when it was whole or something
But yeah, even implementing a pay thing like the UW would be fine, I just want more involvement of Orr =)

I agree that something should be definitely added in that peninsula west of the Crystal Desert called Orr, because it is a very large gap in the map. Although the manual says it was destroyed by /evilman/ in a failed attempt to destroy the Charr, I think something needs to be put there.
The idea of a port entrance to it is good, but it is supposed to have sunken far underwater...
One idea would be that something happened that made it rise up again...like an earthquake, or some God returns to Tyria and lifts it back up, or some powerful magic person. However, it would have no inhabitants. In Kryta, in D'Alessio Coast and other areas we faced the undead - they were the people of Orr that became that, led by /evilman/, and it is probable that none would have stayed in Orr. Besides, surely they drown underwater.
I don't know if the Charr invading Orr were wiped out too, but I would certainly like to fight Lvl 28 Charr someplace.
I can't think of a solution to these problems, dunno if anyone else can.

First of All: The UW is Grenth's Kingdom (For those who are dead) and FoW is Balthazar's Kingdom.
Just an idea: If Orr is 'The City Of The Gods' then surely, if it sank beneath the waves, they would protect it with a (magical) shield, to prevent it being destroyed. If you look at the location of the penninsula where Orr is; well, you could have some underground tunnels from, say, the Crystal Desert, the Sothern Shiverpeaks, and south-west Kryta.
If you don't like that, maybe the Catacombs could be opened up, but only to those who have completed the Titan Quests. The Catacombs link to the underwater country of Orr. (There could possibly be a way to get to Cantha from the Capital city [Arah] via a primitive submarine [Don't bother flaming me, the first submarine was around in the 17th century ish] this could cost 2k?). This would work well, I feel, as it did in Zelda: WW
Ideas? Suggestions?

Orr is deep under the see, only some isles reamin over the waters, and they are filled with undead...
Hm... since the thing with Abaddon... both the Orrian and Mists scepters destroyed... we could raise it from the waters.
Well, ok. DECIDED!
Get your shovels! We are taking that land back!
Ow... but first we'll have to deal with all those undead...
It would be a ice addition like Grenth's Print.

About Orr I know they will not add it in post. I have an idea. Even though they said they will not expand pre there have been a lot of requests and i bet A-Net can deny the pre players for long. My suggestion is that If they accaully decide to improve pre...PLEASE o PLEASE add Orr to pre-searing. One It expands pre so everyone is happy and 2 people can accually go to the Capital of Orr to see the lengendary town of where the gods of guild wars lived.

Hmm I think the Orr Idea would be better if it were more of a Core Exploreable area like the Underworld, or the Fissure of Woe. Make other god avatars useful. Make it something like pay avatar of dwanya 1000 Gold to get to the Ruins, with chances of expensive drops and new exciting creatures or Chests with the best drops. Not only does this satisfy that fact we will be in Orr, but it will also be used often. I can already see the 3 man groups farming that.

Orr isn't coming back from down there beneath the waves.... and I can't speak for anyone else's characters here, but mine probably couldn't survive underwater for that long.
(That said, I've managed to submerge him beneath the water on the shores around Shing Jea Island... and he didn't die nor even splutter... so maybe Chae Soon doesn't really need to breathe.)

Yeah, if you look at the date, it was way back in 2005,almost 2 years ago.

Never said that, I said it was the city of the gods, because if youread the lore, expecialy the manual, it says that melendru, dwayna and baltazar lived there for some time before moving to the mist. If I remember corectly, they moved after fixing the probleme of the bloodstones.

That is definatly a good idea. I dont think we should use one of the avatar for this, but a core area, an elite core area with only 1 outpost to enter from.
Not like UW/FoW were its divided in three outpost

Yes the majority of Orr was sunk but not all of it, there are still some island.
A archipelego was left.
http://gw.gamewikis.org/wiki/Orr
Here it tells the story of Orr (it also says that it was not sunk completly by the end) and a map of were we think it is.

Orr is just a human kingdom on the peninsula near the Crystal Desert. On the Prophecies map, it's the scattered islands near the Desert towards the bottom of the Map. Vizhier Killbron was Orr's King assistant or something, and when teh Charr invaded Ascalon while Ascalon, Kryta and Orr were at war, Kryta retreated as did Orr, and Orr was confident in their defenses but were crushed quickly. So Vizhier used magical proportions of a forgotten scroll that has great magical abilities to push off the Charr but in return devestated the land, causing it to fall. That's why Vizhier *Prophecies Spoiler* became a lich, it's much like a curse, and so this is why he wants to take over Tyria so he can once again rebuild Orr.
Orr was basically another human kingdom, much like Kryta or Ascalon (pre-sear). I think it would be interesting to see the ruins of it all, at least that of which is still above land.
This is all that remains of Orr now.

1. Fissure is the region of the Mists that belongs to Balthazar.
2. The Underworld is a great region of the mists where the dead wicked ones dwell, the Torment is part of the Underworld.
3. Orr was almost completely destroyed, and most of its inhabitants turned into undead. The capital city, Arah, is under the water.
4. See those small archipelagos south ot Lion's Arch? Those are the remains of Orr.
So not all Orr is under the water. So you coul set sail there and see what you can get.
