And while we are wishing things for the pre-searing: could we get some high level charr (let's say level 18) around Piken Square, so we don't need to deathlevel for the LDoA-title? That would be great!

All these suggestions to change Pre. I just think people are being over nostalgic.
Leave pre alone. If you love it so much, why do you want to change it?

If they had an areana in pre-searing you wouldnt have them going up against anyone from post-ascalon at all.
The storyline wouldnt allow it, because pre-searing is set about 5-10 years in the past. Its not feasible for the two parts to interact.
I dont see an issue with adding an areana, but I also dont see much need for it. You move on very fast from the training area that you wouldnt gain much from sticking around to use it.
Since the only people you could fight are lvl1-10, with limited armor weapons skills and spells, it wouldnt teach you much more then what you learn doing PvE.
Plus they have a small PvPish bit between the transition from one to the other. Pre-searing in my view is perfect. Its a training area, not a fully fledged PvE and PvP area. It has quests yes, but not hard ones. Its purely to guide you through using abilities, weapons, armor and skills.
I dont understand all the posts about changing it because in my view, its a place you move on from very fast. Why would you want to stick around there other then to look around or dye farm?

Yeah because im that clueless I didnt know what that is!
*glare at the need to be rude towards me*
Legendary Defender may be a reason to hang around in pre-searing, but its a purely grinding title and it has no beneficial results. Its purely a vain title, which people might want but they dont need.
It doesnt prove talent or ability. Its just a case of using death-leveling and standing on a res-point while creatures kill you and you then kill them. Its slow and pointless.
But just because that title exists, doesnt make Pre-searing any less a training zone where most people move on from very soon. Thats what it is and thats what is should stay. If we add new content it will become a place where people hang about.
An arean in pre-searing may have its uses and it probably could teach some good PvP tactics, but since you have very limited skills, equipment and armor, it couldnt possible teach you enough to be of any use.
But thats just my view. I just dont see a reason or need to change pre-searing. It seems time and effort wasted to me when the resources can be put elsewhere.

A PvP arena in an area with limited skills, hmmm. Everyone with the same skill sets, hmmmm. Wouldn't that mean you have to learn to play / battle as a team, not an individual trying to bash someone's brains out?
In a pre PvP arena, you are pretty sure your opponent is equal to you, so you have to out smart them. In RA in post, you think your skills are better than your opponent, (that build from wiki/guru that 'only' you read about), so you rush in at the first "soft" target you see..... Been there and have seen it.
A teammate that learned to think on their feet just might have the advantage over the one who is trying for the first time, that 'super' build from wiki/guru.
Just my opinion.

Agreed, hell, maybe add some more area in the northlands, remember, Presear itself was a last minute addition before the release of Prophecies anyway and it uses maps and locations from post searing anyway, so why not add more area

I think there should be a arena in pre.
I dont care where it would be.
But i have ideas for it.
There would be a Preist of Balth. there and you could purchase the unlocked core skills you have via balth. faction.
BUT!in the pre arena when you buy the skills you can only use them in the pvp arena.
when you leave the arena town they would be gone from your skill list.
but of course when you reenter the skills you bought via balth faction will be back in your skill list rdy to use.
I think that would be pretty neat.
And no Piken should NOT be an outpost.
In pre piken in across the wall(you can go there but its not a town)
So if they made piken a town..you would no longer have to have 2 ppl for opening the gate...which to me wouldnt be good.

Wow, thats rich coming from someone with an avitar like that. I seriously thought that was the defining thing about titles, bragging rights.

Titles have no point. Titles are stupid and pointless and promote grind. Adding benefits to them only made it worse.
And he's right. LDoA doesn't show any skill. The only thing it shows is you know how to AFK.

How is that rich? and why are you still feeling the need to be aggressive? Drop the attitude.
There is a huge difference between KOABD and LDOA. KOABD takes skills and determination to get 6 protectors and 6 grandmaster explorers, and you can actually show that with some pride.
LDOA takes nothing more then death-leveling and shows that you did nothing but spend far too much time in pre-searing then you needed to.
LDOA is the most vain title in the entire game because of that. I have respect for people who have KOABD because I know what it takes to get it. If I saw someone with LDOA I would be impressed at how much time it would have took, but I wouldnt look at them with greatness.

Cheers
But yes all titles are pointles and meaningless and vain to some degree or another. But nearly all take alot more skill then LDOA and standing at a ress-point and going AFK for weeks or months on end.
It was Anet again pandering to the hardcore players who stick around in pre-searing to farm dyes and wanted an even bigger vanity title.
As for my Avitar, I just thought that looked cool. I do apologise if it somehow riled your nerves.
But thats all besides the point for the OP.
There is simply no reason or good insentive to stick around in pre-searing because it is just a training area. It is the most beautifull section of the entire game and it is fun to play in, but it is just a training zone.
Why stick around in a zone full of lvl1-10s, with limited skills and armor and weapons?
Why have a PvP area which wont really teach you anything, other then how to use about 3 or 4 skills. It would soon loose its apeal.
What fun is it to be lvl10-20 in pre-searing. You cant PUG with anyone because you would just level the creatures in one hit.
I just dont see a reason to add to an already perfect area, or for Anet to use time changing it. They have said they wont change previous campaigns, and I very much doubt they would change pre-searing because its the one place you dont stick around in very long unless your farming dye.
