offensive skills with upkeep
i would like to see offensive spells that have an upkeep.....spells similar to the ones bonding monks use, but in an offensive capability.
u know....something like a hex that you have to maintain with a -1 energy regen.
maybe necros and warriors could have spells/skills that have to be maintained with a -1 health regen.

Also, if you want offense use retribution, holy wrath, strength of honor balthazar's spirit (for adrenaline and energy)...

These are called maintained enchantments.
They suffer a common flaw - enchantment removal and energy upkeep.
Necros have a Orders, that have been nerfed somewhat due to overabuse. And those weren't even maintained.
Enchantments in general are susceptible to abuse, maintained even more so. That's probably the reason there aren't many more beyond strength and honor.

Interesting suggestion, but they would have to tread lightly on this as I could see some potential abuse with this due to the flaw in Soul Reaping.
By maintaining a hex on an individual without any kind of expirey time, you could cause some serious shutdown and also cause some serious unbalance.
A hex like this must be balanced very carefully.
Not enough information for myself on this to sign or not sign it.

Meh. maintained stuff is crap usually, they dont get used in high- level play unless they're very easily replaceable, and since 90% aren't.. maintained hexes would only see use in pve. Hexes et ripped easier than enchants even, there would be no point.

Well if you look at it that way, there is no point in anything. Enchants might be removed, go without. You just cut monks skill list by half. Hexes might be removed, do the same to a necro and mesmer. Damage might be negated or healed? Well then we might as well not fight at all.
I have been hoping for this since I started playing over a year ago. Great idea imo.
