Slayer
Slayer:While similar to a Warrior and Ranger combination, it has many varying skills and specific tasks. A Slayer's primary function is to quickly destroy the enemy with powerful offensive skills, but with minimal regard to defense. Due to the nature of a Slayer, it should generally be used in unison with a tank such as a Warrior (to take the damage) and the Slayer to finish off the enemy. Some of the disadvantages to a Slayer are its terrible defense and its lack of healing spells. Story:During his long tenure in the forests of Ascalon, Jeldar Ren realized the Charr were becoming increasingly aggressive. During the dead of night, he crept to the outskirts of their camp unseen and unheard, likely because of his skills as a Ranger. He heard them speak of a gathering of every tribe, from all over Tyria, in preparation for a final attack on their "idiotic" enemies, the humans of Ascalon. When Jeldar heard this he realized that he must hurry, quickly, to the king of Ascalon, Adelbern. As he crossed the mighty river that lead back to the main road, he was swept off his feet into a gushing torrent that appeared impossible. As he was thrown about, he was suddenly slammed against a cave mouth, and floated in the water, unconcious for a year. When he awoke, he realized the beautiful, lush forests which he had called home had disspeared to become nothing more than ash. In his rage he called upon the help of the gods, one of which answered his cry, and turned him into the ultimate killing machine... a Slayer. Fury: Slayers are full of bottled up anger that cannot be controlled and forces the Slayer to cause huge amounts of damage without thought to physical harm.
Vengeance: A Slayer is always seeking payment for the sins of others. Vengeance causes the Slayer to force severe pain on his enemies. Skill ListingCorrupted Nature:Devour Environment: Spell. For [seconds] the Slayer is immobile, but has +[health] regeneration.
Diseased Trap: Trap. When activated, the enemy is poisoned for [seconds] while enemy is within range of trap.
Knockdown Trap: Trap. When activated, causes blunt damage to the enemy and causes them to fall over.
Grenth's Breath: Trap. When activated, causes frostbite for [seconds] which makes the enemy have -[health] degeneration, and causes them to slow.
Melandru's Scream: Shout. For a short period of time causes surrounding animals to aid you and attack your enemies.
Fury:Dripping Blade: (Not sure, whatever the skill "Frenzy" is) Causes the Slayer to attack [speed]% faster, but take [damage]% more damage.
"Into The Fray!": Shout. Causes the Slayer to move [speed]% faster and attack [speed]% faster.
"I Have You Now!": Shout. The Slayer cannot be blocked or miss for [seconds] seconds.
Break: (Yet again, not sure, whatever "Frenzy" is) This skill lasts [seconds] seconds. When the target attempts to cast a spell and Break is active, the spell is interrupted. Break ends when the spell ends, or when a spell is interrupted. Vengeance:Disbowelment: (Whatever "Power Attack" is) Causes bleeding and deals [damage] damage to foe.
Crander's Offensive: (Whatever "Power Attack" is) Slashes the enemy for [damage] damage, then smacks them with the butt of the sword to knock them down.
Daviads Motion: Strike a foe twice for +[damage] on each strike.
Twirl: Strike surrounding foes for +[damage] damage.
Blade Storm: Strikes the foe [times] times and with each hit, the damage dealt drops. Note: The skill list is far from complete. It is more there to give you an idea of the Slayer. Constructive criticism is great!

Problems:
Boss color - Orange(I think the Warrior's Color is orange)
Weapon - Sword(We want new types of weapons for more enjoyment and Variaty)
Health - 575(O_O")
Max AL - 65(Too low to be melee)
God - Grenth(What is the Connection?)
Skills - It's like a R/W or W/R
It's not unique.
Good News:
You used my Layout too^^.

Lol. Warrior is Gold. Health needs to be low, I wanted to go higher anyway. There is no potential for a tank, so that rules out warrior. Sword- well I wasnt sure if we wanted new weps. AL I wanted to raise too... Grenth is God of death and ice, fitting don't you think, if you read the story. Skills, I agree do need work, but I am short on time and will work on em later.

i really like the slayer idea i think you should have weapons like; double sided spear or other blades, 2H sword, 2H Axe, Chain and mace, Almost barbaric weapons.
You would like to avoid connections to other classes, instead of the ranger in him, use the beast, animal inside seeks for vengeance.
It would make it more mysterious if they didn't have a god at all. Get all their power from within

Well, originally what I was thinking was somethng like that evil Nazi guy in the gas mask has in Hellboy. Here's a sketch of it by yours truly. I'm not going to win any awards, but it should be sufficient:
Also, I have no idea what it is called, so if anyone knows or would like to come up with an idea for a name, be my guest.

The description of the classes function is an exact synonym of Assassin.
Higher finish off damage, lower defense, features related to Warrior and Ranger identity.
I will admit, as simple and cliche as "Slayer" is for a title, it is fine if you came up with an interesting visual appearance and skill features, another Assassin class which cannot defend itself is a gross mistake, we already suffered a significant outcry against Assassins defensive weakness and mass deaths because we never got effective shadowstep options, it would be nice if that never ever happens again.
Slayer would be a much better samurai identity than another assassin, there are plenty of unique samurai classes featured throuought the forums, and calling it a slayer is just as well, making it a bit more generic even if it is simply as samurai anyway (because we all know an Assassin is a Ninja even through Anet decided to call it Assassin).
Beyond that, claiming your class is the ultimate killing machine in a game which revolves around limited classes which are only ment to be better if you play better is simply unacceptable. I could claim my Stalker and Dragon are ultimate Killing machines, and naturally they could obtain more power than a typical human, but obviously we are abiding by game and balance restraints.

Oh come on! The story has no real application to the actual class itself.

No really, if it isn't a new identity, what is the point of adding it to a new class instead of adding it to an exsisting one? The answer is none. There is absolutely no point in developing entirely new classes for a slightly different look and feature which would be exactly the same as a few new skills on Warrior or Ranger, and some new armors.
