After reading the GW Insider and hearing rumors at a few websites, apparently armor inscriptions will be changed to match the Factions-method of having one armor skin have all stats available to the profession. Sooo...Propheces skins will now hopefully be fully functional, and people may want a specific skin with a different set of stats that were previously bound to just that specific skin.

So, Prophecies armors will follow the Factions style of choosing a skin and picking from attributes to go on the skin: ie you can get 15k Gladiator skin with Sentinnel stats, or 1.5k Ascalon skin with Gladiator stats, etc.

Hope they do that for PvP too, I don't care for the looks of some armors that are needed for certain builds, and I want to look good and run the right attributes. Make it like the runes menu, be able to pick the attributes you want on the skin you want.

They are doing it for heroes, why not for PC's?

As long as it has the same stats, I don't see why you wouldn't want it. Has no effect on game balance, and the more skins available the better. Even if you think they're ugly. Hell I think almost all the luxon armour, except for the female ele

, are ugly and I find the man bras disturbing, but I wouldn't want them taken out. Well, except for maybe the man bra. Glads should be female only. Or get it in kurzick armour.

And it can be useful, but only against melee. The sentinals is only good for farming eles, all warrior armour is 100 AL vs physical and you don't need 13 str for it either. And the legionaires is good as long as you have a stance up.

yeah bringing this thread back up. anyways, most of your arguments towards the 15k knights armor is that it's ugly, or you can get the same functionality from 15k ascalon. well hey i could get 15k ascalon or 15k luxon and still have the same stats. The new NF armor has completely divided stats and looks, with the new inscription system. The armor would be another gold sink for Anet to put in. Arguments that it's the worst armor in the game is wtf? Armor stats is based on preference so you have no right to judge it the worst armor in game (sure shout your opinions). I think that the armor warmaster grast wears in pre should be the armor design:
