Default Class Idea - Lithial (Updated)

Lithial

Main Points Of This Class:

I. Aid allies with a twist.
II. Provide another ranged attacker.
III. Damage the enemy but at a cost.

*EDIT: Background:
The Lithials, a band of menecing spell casters arise from the seams of the earth. Long ago they existed on the surface world, aiding the citizens and monsters alike. But an Evil force had corrupted their mind, they were forced under the earth's surface, occasionally breaking their barrier and leaving into the surface world under disguise. (Home: Unknown, I'm not that good with Backgrounds , and that's... all for now? Unless someone would like to create one for them.)

Starting Status:
HP: 100
Mana: 24 (+4 Mana Gain)
Armor: 5, (Max: 60)

**Headpiece: Viewing the link above gives a short description of their headpiece there, but in short: they own a mask with exotic carvings/markings on it that cover their entire face, with no holes for mouths, noses, eyes, etc.

Weapon:
Animation Gloves, sortof similar in style the mesmer gloves but they pack a punch. The gloves ‘animate’ a large sword in front of target foe at half range. See the link above for a great depiction of them by actionjack. (Max Damage: 6-22)

Skills/Attributes:
Animation MasteryFor every point in this attribute your Animation skills increase in status.
Trustless WordsFor every point in this attribute your Trustless Words skills increase in status.
Sharpening WordsFor every point in this attribute your Sharpening Words skills increase in status.
*Primary: Core ChannelingFor every point in this attribute your Core Channeling skills increase in status. For every 4 Levels in this attribute, your weapon range is slightly increased.

Skill Examples:

I. Animation Mastery:

Extension – 10 Energy, 1sec Casting, 30sec Recharge. Animation Attack. If this attack hits you deal +1….15 damage and target foe attacks 33% slower for 1…3 seconds.

Blade Art – 10 Energy, 3sec Casting, 25sec Recharge. Skill. For 8 seconds you attack 50% faster but easily miss. This skill is easily interrupted.

Holdings – 10 Energy, 1sec Casting, 8sec Recharge. Animation Attack. If this attack hits you deal +1…8 damage. You have a 10…15% chance to knock down targeted foe.

*Elite Weapon Calling – 5 Energy, 3sec Casting, 15sec Recharge. Elite Animation Attack. If this attack hits you deal +2….66 damage if it hits a conditioned foe, +2…30 damage if you hit a hexed foe, and no damage if you hit a normal foe. You lose 100 health if this attack misses.

II. Trustless Words:

Cannibal Strength – 15 Energy, 3sec Casting, 30sec Recharge. Enchantment. For 2…5 seconds, target ally steals up to 10…46 health from attacking a foe. When this enchantment ends, target ally loses 25% of health gained this way. If no health is gained this way, target ally is knocked down.

Lizard’s Wit – 10 Energy, ½ sec Casting, 15sec Recharge. Skill. For 1…7 seconds you move 60% faster but can easily be knocked down by projectiles.

Unholy Foresight – 5 Energy, 3sec Casting, 30sec Recharge. Enchantment. For 10 seconds, targeted ally’s physical attacks cause blindness for 3 seconds. When this enchantment ends, targeted ally is blinded for 7…5 seconds.

Binding Embrace – 10 Energy, 3sec Casting, 30sec Recharge. Hex. Target foe is crippled for 10 seconds. When this hex ends, allies in the area are crippled for 3 seconds.

Dancing Feet – 15 Energy, 1sec Casting, 30sec Recharge. Enchantment. For 10 seconds, target ally moves 33%, but projectiles deal twice their normal damage toward this ally.

Rejuvenation – 10 Energy, 5sec Casting, 45sec Recharge. Spell. Resurrect target ally. Target ally gains 30….260% of your current Energy. This spell cannot be interrupted if you are suffering from a hex.

Rejoice – 10 Energy, 3sec Casting, 20sec Recharge. Spell. Target ally is healed for half of your current health. If that amount was over 200 all of your other spells are disabled for 7 seconds..

*Elite Long Live Thee – 25 Energy, 3sec Casting, 60sec Casting. Elite Enchantment. Targeted ally gains 150…1200% of the energy used to cast this spell for 10…55 seconds. If current ally was attacking or casting a spell, this skill is disabled for another 10…60 seconds.

III. Sharpening Words:

Anger – 5 Energy, 8sec Recharge. Spell. Target foe takes 5…56 damage and attacks 25% faster for 4 seconds.

Depression – 5 Energy. Spell. Target foe takes 5…36 damage and is dazed for 1…3 seconds. This skill is disabled for 5 seconds for each seconds of dazed you inflict.

Fear – 10 Energy, 1sec Casting 25sec Recharge. Hex. Target foe’s movement is slowed by 33% for 8 seconds. The next ally hit by their attacks is slowed by 25% for 5 seconds.

Shrouded – 10 Energy, 3sec Casting, 30sec Recharge. Spell. Targeted foe gains +10…50 health for 15 seconds. Foe is damage for twice the amount of health gained when this skill ends (20…100 health.).

*Elite Containment – 15 Energy, 5sec Casting, 60sec Recharge. Elite Spell. Target foe suffers 1…236 damage, you are inflicted with: blindness, deep wound, bleeding, and dazed for 20 seconds. You take half the damage inflicted upon your foe.

IV. Core Channeling:

*Elite Inner Strength – 15 Energy, 3sec Casting, 30sec Recharge. Elite Skill. For the next 60 seconds you are healed 5…46 health everytime your attacks miss or are blocked.

*Elite Signet Of Ashira – 5sec Casting, 30sec Recharge. Elite Skill. For 60 seconds, your next 1…14 attacks recharge 1 random recharging attack spell for either you or the targeted foe.

*Elite Relieve The Core – 10 Energy, 1sec Casting, 15sec Recharge. Spell. Remove all conditions and hexes from yourself. You have a 50% chance to transfer them to an ally.

Well, That's all for now I suppose? I'll keep working on them. Any comments/flames/suggestions?

The pros:

The weapon; interesting idea, but an even better game mechanic - longer range with higher attribute hasn't been done. 'Signet of Ashira'; messing around with skill recharging hasn't been exploited yet. Trustless Words; skills which require ally sabotaging is a nice twist (although in the real world, imagine how annoying it could be).

Some cool ideas that should be wrapped into another CC or a completely revamped lithial. Why completely revamped?

The cons:

No identity; what's the background/story/explanation? No novel function; it's not apparent what new role this CC has in the battlefield and most of the skills are rehashed versions of existing ones. No continuity; the attributes have no definition and the skills have no unifying theme.

If I were you, I'd focus the CC around the weapon mechanic and skill recharge/time manipulation. Then attach that to a novel role. Make the attributes more than just a list of random skills. Once you have a unique and unprecedented function, put it in a pretty package - a cool identity.
