New Form of CC - Racial Core
With the news of GW2 and GW:EN, there are much excitments, as well as dissapointments, especially for those who are here in the CC thread.
But I don't think it should spell out doom for those of us who enjoy doing CC.
As how the future classes might be done is still unclear (especially with introduction of new races), it lead to several possiblities. One that I am thinking of is where each of new race would have their own core, which would somewhat follow the basic functions, but still reflect their own individual speciality.
Some brain storming idea includes:
(base on the Racial description found Here)
Human- Warrior
- Ranger
- Monk
- Elementalist
- Mesmer
- Necromancer
Sylvari- Druid : summoner/support type
- Sniper : offensive range shooter
- Enchanter : Healer/Supporter/Buffer/
- Fencer : Agile melee / Interupter
Asura- Alchemist : support/debuffer with potions
- Engineer/Gunner : Range attacker/ area controler /Summoner?
- Warlock : Offensive Mage
- Thief : Sneaking De-buffer
Charr- Rumbler : Melee Fighter (with claws and fist)
- Hunter : Range attacker
- Stalker : Sneaker Attacker
- Flame-mage : Offensive Mage
Norn- Shaman : shapeshifter / support
- Beast master : Minion Controler
- Berserker : Melee Attacker
- Rune Smith : Healing / Support / Buffer
Could even done in more advance way, in which the 6 Core of human be consider as the Basic Core, where all race could take (in addition to their own racial proffessions) as 2ndary and/or primary. Could also allow learning of skills and attributes of other race, to take as sub-2ndary (or 3rdary).
(NOTE: This is only a speculation on how future classes might be done)
Well, thats one way I see how GW's race and class could be done. Feel free to add or discuess of this system, and/or post future CC on this possiblity.

I don't like the names "Rune Smith", "Beast Master" and "Flame Mage".
For the Flame mage why just not "Mage".
For the Beast Master why not "Taimer", "Trainer" or "Mediator"
For the Rune Smith why not "Scribe", "Pilgrim'', "Cleric" or "Ascetic"
Thos names sounds better^^!
And Great Idea instead of deserting this CC place we could make for the upcomming Races^^!

Those are just suggested ideas.. no one really need to follow them.
While better name could be use, I think I select the more "familar" name for easier understanding.
But the name [M][C] provided are all well and sound too.
oh... foget... but could also add Bard to Sylvari too....

Why not add a Complex Leveling system instead of a 2 job when they get stronger they can go to a higher rank with new skills like
Warrior to Templar to Paladin(Replacement for Wammo and Dervishes)
Or
Warrior to Gladiator to Champion(Dual Wielder, Replacement for Sin)
Or
Warrior to Knight to Valiant(Tank with Heavy Damage, Your average Warr)
Or
Warrior to Paragon to Monarch(Shouter, Replacement for Paragon)
I think I have said enough^^.

I think we should get rid of the GW-1 classes, other than the original 6 core ones. The assassin, ritualist, dervish, and paragon were never as appealing as the original professions.. instead, those suggested above sound much more fun to play. Any unique names are really nice too, I like the suggestion of berserker, and we could maybe add in a harbinger.

Well I do like the additional classes, there is some cool stuff there.
But!
All of that stuff could have bleen placed into the core classes too(adding 2 atributes to each class(all classes would ahve 2 primaries)
Or!
Those features could be implemented into racial cores.
Norn sounds familiar, what where they again? Runesmith sounds nice though.
Le'me use this as an excuse to dump the SCU prof list, these originally wheren't meant for GW so all inconsistencies are meant that way.
Striker-heavy weapons, AoE ranged attacker, and heavy melee hitter (they are supoesed to use mortars, but not sure that fits into GW)
Afflictionist-Disease/DoT master sacrefice heath for verry effective debuffs, uses diseases as self buffs(for example cancer grows rampant skin for damage reduction)
Tribal-rapid caster, does rituals(like cast only flare for next 8 spells, if succesfull cause burning for next 8 spells, reaplied if those 8 spells are also flare) to improve their casting by huge levels if allowed to execute their rituals freely
Sniper-ranged attacker, high crit chance, huge range, but stealth as only defence.
Athlete-double melee ranged kiter, long speed buffs, heath and energy regen buffs, all self only, they outlast their foes instead of kill.
Soldier-ranged tanker, dealing good damage before enemies get to you reduces the time you have to tank.
Feral-supportive buffer, powerfull self buffs
Guardian-huge armor, fail chance on damage dealing, must first tire hies foes out before he can finish them.
Warlock-Skill leacher, can't do anything but leach, but can learn every one's skills by stealing their knowlege, also leaches heath and energy, as he steals knowlage not the foes skills all his skills are a special diferent warlock flavored copy of other professions
Meat Shield-wrestler, throws foes around and breaks their formation, graples and imobalises and breaks limbs for speed or damage debuffing.
Theres a bunsh more, but some are really unfitting for GW, and they suck anyway and really need a revision.

As I said they where not meant for GW, they are suggestionsfrom SCU a starcraft based mod, however they do incorporate some novel functions.
Has to do with a NWN customization project, using the modern mod which failed miserably because the modern mod was canceled/main DL server gone/whatever
But the recent and working version just kind became unfindable
It wasn't about the names, it was about specific functions that would not fit in with the human classes, but as classes for other professions might be quite fitting.
This is my version of 1 sentace threads, I guess its just as bad, but it takes up less space on the first page.
But in the time waiting on GW2 making racial profiles is something we can waste our time on
