Default Mini-Game(s) In Guild Hall!

Fielding a GvG team in a timely manner is difficult for many guilds. There are so many variables in dealing with 8 people that a team that would ideally take 5-10 minutes to form may take up to an hour to form. The biggest enemy of GvG is time. I myself do not enjoy running mindlessly in the guild hall while I wait for someone to: Reboot, restart guild wars, finish some 'important' PvE mission, create the PvP equipment, set up skills, get a drink, use the bathroom, get a guest, or duke it out with another about the build. Eventually all this waiting will cause someone to 'call it a night' and log out.

Sure I could just go into observer mode, do some quick RA, or something else while I wait for the party, but that's not conducive in forming the team as I would be wasting more time for everyone else. So why not make the guild hall a more interesting location? Why not create an incentive to remain in the guild hall and not bore everyone out of their mind(s) at the same time? Why not create a selection of mini-games to keep people engaged as they wait?

For the mini-game(s) itself, there is no limit on creativity. They could be classic games like Tetris, Pac-Man, Space Invader, or even Guild War's very own.... Skill Quiz! in which you would fill in the blanks for energy cost, recharge time, damage @ X attribute points, etc. Players can access these mini-games either through their menu or an NPC in the guild hall. There should be no pay-to-play fee, nor should there be rewards for these mini-games aside from the entertainment value. And of course, there must be a pause button for those moments when you need to quickly tend to a guild member's question, form the party, change character build/skills, etc.

So incorporating mini-games in the guild hall would definitely improve my GvG experience. It would simmer tempers and help players remain on for GvG while we wait for people to reboot, restart guild wars, finish some 'important' PvE mission, create the PvP equipment, set up skills, get a drink, use the bathroom, get a guest, or duke it out with another about the build.

Love it, excellent observation of one of the difficulties of putting together a gvg team.

Yes please! Guild games 20k for the trader/event planner guy. It would take a bit to buy him but once you do it'd be killer.

Althought there are many pros they do not add up to the amount of cons.
There are cons such as may make even more distractinons while waiting like as you have 7 ppl your waiting for someone to get out "WAIT IM GONNA BEAT MY HIGH SCORE!" or "NOT NOW IM BUSY CAN WE GVG LATA!?"

sides while you wait nuttin wrong with RA its quick and you get replaced with someone else so the team dont get mad

If we do this then there will be A LOT more lucky titles which IMO are supposed to be very hard to get bc of being able to get it ONLY on festivals(and 4-leaf clovers) and I worked really hard to get my Favored title(over 200k too).

Lucky title points have always been scaled based on the game by anet. These would be either 0 or 1 points.

Along with the Rollerbeetle races... the dragon arena

We all love those things, don't we?
