End concept classes.
I'm tired of seeing things like:

Imo, people should stop trying to make concept classes and work on coming up with fresh ideas for the current ones. We aren't getting new professions in GW:EN, and I highly doubt there will be new ones in GW2 (no one knows, but it's highly unlikely). However, the current classes could definitely use some versatility - put your creative genius to work coming up with something that could be put to use in the game.
I've read tons of concept classes that are very similar to current classes, but a tactic and skillset with out-of-the-box thinking. Don't bin your great ideas because people say it's not original to be a new standalone profession. Stop trying to break connections to make it un-mesmer like or un-rit like or un-ele like and go for tying it in... there's still a lot of room to broaden the horizons for all classes (and some in particular, no need to name them).
Every day, people get bored of GW and leave. It's a fact - there's only so much content. However, there are many, many more people who love the game - I"m one. There is also no shortage of people who spend time outside the game thinking of things to put in the game. For my part, I love builds - creating them, tweaking them, perfecting them, and sharing them. All of you concept class people have amazing imaginations - if you read through all of these threads, you will see a boatload of fresh ideas in profession tactics, skill types, skill variations, and every other part of gameplay.
The problem, as I stated before, is that we will not be getting new professions. What I would like to see is your great work put to good use. 1/3 of new classes are dismissed as impractical. The other 2/3 are seen as too close to a current professoin. That, however, is what we need. I want to see concept skills, concept skill types - anything else that can work with what we have (and we do have it permanently) to make what we have better. I want to see all of these ideas as proposals that won't be dismissed as "more of the same", ideas that actually have a real chance of making a difference in the game - creating more content for everyone to enjoy.

yeah i don't really understand why, with all the ideas in this forum, anet decides to end new professions. paragon and dervish came from here, but there are loads of ideas from this forum. i mean with GW2 being 100 years in the future, maybe they could have tried implementing that old engineer class, with a few modifications. and i really loved the ethermage idea. a class with dual wielding would really catch my attention as a primary attribute, because I could put a gemstone axe in one hand and a shadow in the other =] (no not copying daggers, because daggers are two handed weapons like bows, and therefore not really dual wielding) why anet? lol

Are you telling us to stop making CCs, If then
You can't just tell people to stop making CCs.
Some of us love making CCs.
It's just like saying "You cannot Paint, Cause it's useless and non-productive."
The CC thread, Art Thread and Poetry and Story Thread are all like same.
Each person who post there has a passions into it.
If, you're telling us to make ideas for other profs
We are already doing that any-person in Anet could look in our CCs and learn from it cause of our ideas.
If, you're saying we need to make it like other profs
Then that would just be useless is we already have that then why do we still need to make more skills that are just rehashing like the others.

Well... no one is forcing you to read the CC... and people should make them if they want to.
Way I see it, Certain people like the challenge.. the expression of creativity. Much like the fan art, the fan fic, its almost expected to never expect it be made into the game, yet people still do them, because they are fun to do. And its only proper to give a well-observe review to those who want to post it up on the fourm, be they good or not. So in the end, it should not be about if your idea got made or not, rather if you enjoy it or not.
And sometime people might feel it is too limiting to make just new skills for exisiting prof, for reasons of they don't have the idenity people want, it might not fit into to the ovrall theme of the exisiting one, or just unable to fit it all into a old class.
And it is not all that hard to make new skills. Chances are that if you can make a good CC, you can easily make skills for other proff too. And if you really like new skills, this is a good thread to chew on

(great work of Mercury Angel )
So I don't think it is needed to tell people to stop making CC, thought would be good to encourage them if people do make new skills. (And the best encouragment is to give them a informative review)

Well I just don't think it's worth a sub-forum anymore. Classes won't be added anymore, skills will be rebalanced. Why no skill balance subforum? at least a good deal of those ideas ARE implemented.

Hehe you quoted me.
I like writing concept classes. Their fun and creative and even if there is no more classes just why not. Its just good fun. No one says they are going to be put in game.

actionjack's right on.
I put a lot of time into my four CCs (probably too much), but I never expected them to be put in the game. It's a way to exercise creativity and get feedback from other people who want to do the same. It's nerdly fun for fun's sake.
Like the vast majority of threads on this entire site, it will probably have zero impact on the game.
P.S. There probably should be a sub-forum devoted to critquing current classes.

Actually, I think there should be a Professions forum with a sub forum for each profession, in those class forums there should be a sticky with 'current buglist' in which the OP is (weekly) edited to include (verified) bugs users post in that thread.
All builds, ideas and aggravations threads that now are in several places on the forum go into those forums, concerning the main class.
I can prove that classes that suffer in a certain area, will get their we need more love threads stacked up there in no time.

Of course there are new avenues classes could take. Take alook at the thread I just posted listing 11 concept classes. A new class has to offer something just that - new - to the battle field. I'm looking through alot of the "CC" entries here, and alot of them make me giggle. They're silly, include artwork stolen from other sites, games, artists, etc., and make little sense of the combat equilibrium. There's certainly room for new classes, but there's not alot of room. Only some things will work, alot of things won't work.
