I would love to see a name change item implimented, O how I long to change my char name.

Make the item worth like 15K and it can also be used as a poor gold sink, Kinda like Ale.

well i would have to say there should be a quest kind of like the way you can change your second profession further on in the game. changing your name should be allowed i dont see whats wrong with a good name change?

well even an item is a good idea because say you join a new clan and wanna add the clan "tag" to your characters name it would be awesome just to be able to change your name just for that reason right?

As long as it would not affect Freinds/Ignore lists and what not, this would be a good idea.

Kind of like in Final Fantasy 2 and above. There was these guys that would allow you to change your name as many times as you wanted, free of charge!

Speaking of FF2, it's nice having ZNES ;-)

I like that Idea, would make your name cooler.

nah i got ranger redhead, and so to say, i dont really like the name. if only i can change my skin color, hair style, hair color, face style and name, i would be happy

I support it. Although i feel no need to benefit from it at the moment.

It would however help the poor people who spell their name incorrectly, either through bad typing or poor education. Saves them from looking like an ass for months or longer!

I like that idea... Mostly cause when I formed my guild HazTeam my main character name was Ingram of Haz, but now that I gave my guild to our Gaming clan leader and he is toying with the dynamics of our guildmates, many of us want to leave and form a new guild, but I want to change my name to match it when we do. so I like the idea, but I'll prob just make a new character when that time comes. My primary is close enough to the end to just dump for a PvP anyway... I don't care too much if I do the last 4 missions or not with it... I've been enjoying my lower level characters much more latly anyhow. My level 16 monk/Elementist is quite a kick ass build. and so is my level 12 Necro/Mesner. I'm enjoying aspects of trying new builds out for PvE...

My lev 20 Ranger / warrior is gettting rather boring actually (been using it since Febuary beta)... even in southern shiver peeks areas... its just not as fun when you are not getting any leveling up... I also believe the better drops are going to the lowest lev members in a group, or at least it seems to be...

I would really like to be able to change my name as well. I had created 2 characters, with completly different names, before joining a guild. Now that I'm in one, it would be easier for other guild members to remember whose who when they're on different characters, if they have something common to all their character names... I wanna change all my character names to add a common last name to all of them to reduce confusion. yeah,

I definitely want to change my name. I use the same last name for all my characters ever since D&D, but now I found someone else is using the same one, and I don't feel as unique. As long as it isn't something that people can just go and use 1,000,000 times and confuse everyone, I'd really like it.

well when you first ever create a char, you don't think of the consiquences really when you choose a name/face etc, if it is implemented then i would recommend that they only allow you to change your name once and never again after that

i only want to change 1 of my chars names aswell and that char was the first char i created when i started GW, i don't mind if it isn't implemented as people recognise me by that particular name.

I really think this is something we need to have this implemented in the game. Just as Knight said, many of us create character names without thinking about the consequences. Should our once amateur action haunt us for the rest of our gaming life in guild wars? Guild Wars emphasizes on making this game easy for beginners and makes sure that our actions doesn't punish us greatly. Such as being able to change attributes over and over, unlike other MMORPGS. So, why not implement name changes for Guild Wars? However, having said that, name changing can be easily abused and so I say why not give us the opportunity to change our name only once per character. This will in turn forces us to make the right decisions and not full around. Just like eing able to change servers for your account only 5 times, I say we should have the ability to change our name at least once.

I've often wanted to rename characters, but I really doubt they'll ever add soemthing like this.
