Trading Revolution
Ever since I started playing Guild Wars, I have noticed that trading items is a complete waste of time. The constant spamming really takes away from my GW experience as well. I skip the hassle and just trade to certain contacts or the merchant but I believe this whole problem could be solved quite easily.
My suggestion would be to put in place a global search option in the game. Players could now post up to three items or so and place them in the search posts.
Other players could then see the post from any town and automatically warp to the current location of the seller as long as they are in an available town. Now, wouldn't that be a nicer way to jump from one campaign to another as well?
Just thought it might make the whole trading aspect of the game much less time consuming and less remote.

Have you ever been on Ebay? You type into there search engine for an item say a certain Mountain Bike for instance. You get a couple of hits on what you need but thousands of ones that say "Kona Killi Flyer (not GT, DMR.......) All systems are open to abuse and if people dont get replies from there global post they would continue to spam us all to hell. A good idea in theory but the system isnt the problem its the people

I think that a auction house system, such as wow should be implemented. It would stop spaming and also lower prices. Maybe have one in LA, Kaening centre and Kodash Bazar.

Blizzard have copyrighted the Auction House.
And since Anet is an offspring of Blizzard it's not going to happen.
And btw... the auction house has been suggested so many times the dead horses now ask for a rest.

FF11 has an auction house as well.
Wow uses a particular scripting language - if they've patented anything, it would be that particular script. That's not say ANet couldn't make their own in an other language.
As long as ANet makes it from scratch, its theirs plain and simple and there's nothing blizzard or anyone else can do to change that.
I do, however, agree that an auction would be nice. But not for GW1. GW2, maybe. Or a global trade channel.

In addition GW runs on a complete different self-developed engine so it would work nothing like a WOW auction house on the inside even if it did the same thing on the outside.
I'm hoping they make an auction house and I've got all the good items I've ever found in storage until they implement it. Becuase trading it such a waste of time.

Those who spam local chat with trade messages have dissuaded me from pursuing any kind of in-game sales. I post items using this site's auction section if I want to sell anything, but I can honestly say that an in-game automated auction service would be the best update ever.
