I were thinking about the problem of titles and how it could apply to the hall of monuments. since 1 account could have several titles split up across several characters, I think it would make certain titles account based. basically every single title, except the sunspear and lightbringer titles since they have a NF purpose, it would reduce the grind, which I remember Anet said they wanted to reduce the grind, and increase the game play.

since the hall of monuments obivously would be account based, it only makes sense to change the titles that unlocks things, from character to account based.

I could give a example- cartographer

if I have explored 60% of tyria on a character, It means the player already has explored that, and it's just a added grind to get cartographer on the other characters.
the account would share the legendary titles among characters because as everyone knows, one account, at least 8 player slots.

It would also increase the likehood of being able to unlock everything in time for the release of GW2 and being able to devote your time to GW2 instead of grinding away in GW1 to unlock unique rewards for your gw2 characters.

OR just devote all your time to a single character and unlock it that way to reduce the grind. but I'd get so bored with that.

You don't seem to get it.

You'll get a monument per character.
You'll have your charter name reserved if you got both GW and GW2.

no I'm talking about the display case items - with armor skins and unique weapons, etc that you can open and take out. if you want all the display cases to be filled you got to do it all somehow.
