Bring Back Skill Reward Quests
Suggestion:
Bring back the Skill Reward quests, en masse.
The tomes were an EXCELLENT step in the right direction. To bring back skill reward quests would complement it nicely, and maybe a few quests that rewarded skill tomes would be good.
Make these quests available to all modes, and give good rewards for completing them too. Put them in low level areas as well as high ones, and feature skills that are popular or useful.
DO NOT make them too challenging. This is a time of economic rethinking, and to rock the boat anymore might tip us all overboard.
With the new solo farming semi-nerf, this would ease a few troubled people, but don't act too quickly or the same problems in different forms might pop-up again, just like the exception to loot scaling update did.
With all due respect and appreciation,
Liberations.

I'm tired of wasting money on characters to buy skills.

ANET has already said they will not reimplement the skill quests, despite alot of popular demand. The mentality behind getting a lot more exp and gold for quests in factions and NF wasn't for faster leveling, it was for an increased number of skill points to buy skills at the trader. ANET has stated that they felt skill quests restricted players into a narrow mindset, and specific builds. I, however, disagree with this completely. I find it is my tyrian characters who have access to the greatest number of skills, simply because I went out and did all the quests. This is a stark comparison to say, my dervish, who has a handful of skill choices since I only bought what I specifically needed for any given build.
I honestly prefered skill quests and wish they would be reimplemented, so I'll /sign. This will never happen, though.

I agree with above poster,
In Tyria, I did every single skill quest
In Elona, Once I hit lvl 20 I stopped doing quest all together unless it wasn't to far out of the way...I got the skills for my build, why would I need more?

ca_aok is spot on for the reason of the higher rewards from quests in factions and nightfall.
Also, I never unlock skills from quests. I unlock them with a pvp char, then go buy the skill on whatever char I need.

Not even skill quests... just SOME sort of worthwhile reward! Questing has become such a small part of the game for many people just because almost anything can get you a reward faster and more efficiently.

I think there should be some skill reward quests(make them only available hard mode so they are a challenge) It would be nice to get some skills rarther then paying 1k all the time.

Because the skills cost so much, I only get the skills I need for the flavor-of-the-month cookie cutter build. The rest... I'll probably never use them.
