Yes like giving us 15k Knights with the most craptastic stats or the fugliest of fugly 15k helms the glads helm.
signed, and the ncp in kamdan sounds liek a great idea.

Even if the NPC in kamadan just removes the stats, leaving empty insignia slots, I would still agree.
I don't mind losing the +1, +2 and +3 fixed energy bonuses in my monk Kurzick's armor if I get to make it to allow insignia.

Removing the stats when making the armor insigniable is a must. The devs have always been using it as a reason why old armors can't be made insigniable, they said that mods AND insignias on one armor is too much (and that's very obvious because that armor would be imbalanced-overpowered this way)

I meant 'removing the stats' instead of 'tunrning them into insignia'.
The other posible way would be that one, turning a +1 energy helm into a helm with a +1 energy insignia.
Yet the removing would be eeasier.

you can already buy armor that has the same stats as the droks stuff, if you wanted to. the insignias are there. it would not be that hard to fix the proph armor.

My biggest concern is they will make insignias, but not to exisiting armour, only new ones.

For me personally this would be acceptable as I like the current stats on my armors, so I'd just have to remake some headgear. But for people who have armors more expensive than the cheapest max AL, that would be really annoying, especially if they have FoW. So my position is that all armors should be retroactively changed to insignias at some point, even if that is after the change to new armors.
On the other hand, even once they have a bug-free script to convert all armors, it will take a while for it to run through every single armor piece on every single account and it might cause problems if it happens while people are online. The easiest way to prevent a massive server load while doing the switch might be an NPC that does it (speak to him once, all armors on your account get changed) so that the load is spread out as people talk to him. Its probably best to leave the details of how the change of new armors will take place up to ANET.
The increased demand for insignias after this change can be countered by making them drop in Cantha and Tyria, or just increasing their drop rate in Elona.

Of curse, Insignia and inscription sooner or later should drop anywhere, since they became 'core' by getting into PvP.

Maybe make it it a one off fee of 5K or 10K per completed armour set. It would work like infusion, only the NPC just makes the amour inscribable.

That would work too. =D
Radiant insignia on 15k Plate FTW!

i want anything other than +15 lightning AL on studded leather (non or 15k)for ranger...that set just looks great...i never got a chance buying them because of the strange stats on it....
I don't know why i still think that there isn't enough armor skin selection out there maybe that's why.
good point void!!!

A single armor system like this would be very very nice. The whole insignia deal was a good idea. Now lets implement it on the old stuff to.

Love the idea of a Kamadan NPC that wipes your armors stats so insignias can be used. This would still make it a NF-only feature, which seemed to be the biggest issue with this.

My monk armor still has the old black dye on it, and I would like to update the boots (I accidentally made those the +armor against elemental dmg). Now that the dye has been "improved", there is no way I can remake the boots and redye them black without having them look wayyyy too dark compared to the rest of the armor.
I would welcome this feature with huge open arms.

I would like one armor system across all games. Including, previous bought armor able to be re-crafted with insignia's for a reasonable "fee".
