On Screen Location of Traps
I love my trapper, but the thing I find most frustrating is remembering the exact location (and potential radius) of where I've placed my traps. Like many trappers, I drop old quest items (Carlotta's Web Markers, anyone) to remember where my "mines" have been laid, but it seems like, at least for the party interface, it would be better if the ground where they've been laid would "glow" or at least turn a different color.
Any other suggestions? |

Humm I'm not sure, imagine you go somewhere, in uw² for exemple, and you go with 8 trappers, now try to play normally o_O.
Btw the main problem is for pvp, that would suck a bit seeing glow on the floor, and a bit difficult to make it invisible by foes. |

Easily you can drop an unworthy staff to the location where the traps are.

thats a easy answer most trapppers lay at least one spirt and trap on top and close by lol but if its pvp you pick same spots and everyone just knows and if it is for path trapping drop a staff of useless item

This would be good. Could it be done such that if you are an ally you would see the glow and if an enemy you would not? I'm not sure if that mechanic is in the game yet.

How about making it show up on the mini map for the trapper and his team? There's already a mechanism to show "private" communications on the mini map (pings and whiteboarding) so it should be fairly easy to implement.

How's this for an idea? have a ranger skill called Find/Locate traps as the thieves do in D/D. IF possible have it a passive skill as in Diablo (one that is always "on").

Though I don't play ranger, I don't see why not.
What about a small little purple circle on your minimap that displays where the traps are? Purple doesn't interfere with any of the other colours that could be shown on your minimap from what I can remember. |
