NPC: Weaponsmith & Armorer update
Problem: Tyria and Cantha armors and weapons can't have insignia, inscriptions... shields and off-hands can't have upgrades.
Solution: simply update all the game armors and weapons, even the old ones.
Solution2: update the weaponsmith giving him a new option, "upgrade weapon", and the armorers with the option "upgrade armor".
- Upgrade Weapon: pay a little amount of money and the weapon you choose will be upgraded making it inscriptable (with the correspondent inscription if it haves any) and off-hands and shields will be able to have upgrades.
- Upgrade Armor: pay a little amount of money for each armor part you want to make able to hold insignia.
From my point of view this can't wait more, at least in weapons i'm sure we all expected that the whole game had the new drops inscriptable when nightfall came out and it really was a pitty it wasn't, as so for armors, i'm sure more than one has tried to put a insignia to an old armor. Put end to this no-sense limitation.

I agree wholeheartedly, especially as there are a few elite armours i would like from Factions or Tyria but dont liekthe idea of gettign because i can't inscribe them the same way i do the NF armour.

On a second note, i don't want to have to pay 100k to outfit my warrior or ranger with weapons comparable to pvp ones when i can get a 15>50 inscription for my weap, and quite frankly, my assassin has no use for inscriptions since i can't get inscribable armor until the 10k ancient armor.

i guess and 'itamz' is that perfect req8 old perfect weapon you wish to keep as unique only for personal satisfaction, even if is not the best for the game...

Personally I really like the Droknars studded leather armor for my ranger, but since I need the extra energy I use druids and let the other one collect digital dust on one of my mules.
Same goes for the 15k canthan necro armor which is tormentors atm.
They were fine in the beginning, but really want them changed now.

This was NEVER a bug. It was done intentionally by a.net to avoid screwing up the economy and preserve prices of rare non-inscribable items (which, I might add still dropped in prices anyway). With a.net's new policy on loot scale farming (allowing people to do it to sell items to other players rather then make money by selling white items in mass), there needs to be a way for rare items to actually have value to be sold to other players in the first place.

They added the systrem to PvP.
Adding it for the entire game is a must.
You can make an Hydromancer armor with Pyromancer insignia en PvP.
In PvE not.
If you get a bone shile din Cantha or Tyria, it is worth nothing.
In Elona, you can get it inscribable and 16:9, and may be worth something.
Just plain unfair. I want to get similar quality in loot in all campaings. I don't want to stick in one because the reards just suck and would be wating time, I've paid them all.

I never said it was a bug, i could undestand that old items didn't change, but new drops in the whole world did have to change simply because you don't have the chance to get the desired skin and customize it... cantha has lots of amazing weapon skins and you can't customize them... in weapons you only have to search the weapon with the desired inscripcion... in shields and off-hands you need to have 2 mods and the luck that those 2 mods are the mods you need. when you make an improvement it has no sense if you don't apply it to the whole thing.
From my point of view, not applying the change to the whole world was just if you couldn't play assasins and rits out of cantha, or you could not play dervish and paragons out of elona... or you couldn't use heroes out of elona... when you make such important improvementes, the whole world needs to have benefit from them... i guess that making it so only nightfall players have that benefit is complicated and requires a heavy programing of the drop basis... but let's think about why should people buy nightfall... ¿heroes and a great storyline or simply inscriptable weapons?
My own response to my proposal is that is something must be done with armors and that there must be a point in the time (the earlier the best) that the whole game has inscriptable drops, because has no sense... you wan't to keep the basis of non-inscriptable weapons? we can take that... but shields and off-hands MUST be upgradeable.
