Expertise skill reduction /fast cast idea
Not sure were those 2 mentioned b4 ( the search was disabled, and my pc is all fuzzy inside), but :
1) The idea is simple : Show energy cost of those skills that are affected by expertise, if you have any expertise more than 0.
It could be simplified (energy cost : 14,13,12) or something more specific, like most calculators and character builders have.
This may also be affected by spirits ( like ew, qz), but that would be temporary.
2) Same as up, but here, we talk about spells affected by fast casting. Not sure if it would involve times when your fast casting is affected by hexes, or your hex ( Steal Speed, or something, dunno how it was called, the elite that steals cast speed of others and add the one to yourself, you know what i mean).
It could help, seriously. and i dont think anet would have issues in solving that.

...or you could do a 1 second calculation in your head to determine what your skills cost / how fast they cast/recharge. All you need to know is:
16 fast cast = halves cast time.
every 5 points in expertise lowers 5 costs by 1
every 2.5 points in expertise lowers 10 costs by 1
every 1.4 points in expertise lowers 15 costs by 1
every 1 point in expertise lowers 25 costs by 1

I have to agree with this idea. It definitely saves my brain doing more maths.

Yea, I think it would definitely be helpful. Not sure how high up in ANet's list of priorities this would be, though.

Definitely would help alot people understand the benifits of Expetise and Fast casting if the Skills stats changed accordingly with attribute rankings. I would go as far as to say that could be a big reason why the Mesmers are not that popular, because the benifits are not all that clear with fast casting.
