Hard Mode has to be accessible for those players, who cant finish protector titles. Protector takes a long time, most of the players dont care about that title. But they wanna go for drops or something

Btw I have all 3 protectors.

Forcing players to go through titles for something that might be a source of even greater pain isn't good to anyone... Or do you consider HM to be a reward by itself? Only the most hardcore of players would think that way. How about everyone else?

Although it would be normal to restrict access to character who have completed the campaign, to prevent stupid farming, restricting it to the Title who needs the most grinding is just stupid.
I hate doing the missions, and you know Mr Kind of a big Deal, there are peoples in this game, unlike you, who have a LIFE ! Maybe they just do not have the time to grind MORE to have this title, which is really not prestigious...

Protector titles are 99% grind for any experienced player. Don't need more forced grind.

I dont plan on getting protector title for any campaign because the bonuses for many of the missions are too boring. Especially for Elona. Doing all the missions in Elona was much longer than any other campaign. Being forced to get all the bonuses for every character on every mission I want to bring just to get to hard mode is not fun. I'd never touch hard mode if that happened.

Protector Titles are actually very easy to get on Characters, attaining it for one char would seem a reasonable requirement to get to Hard mode. If your not able to get the title chances are u wont get far in hard mode anyways. With the drop in AI in normal mode they should be even easier than before.

Elona ones are easy to get since they are normally only a small deviation from the mission although they normally are slightly harder than the mission. Cantha ones are done with the mission. Tryia ones are longer than the others but they are also considerably easier to get.

It would help reduce Bots and It would give the protector title a purpose/effect

The only problem I see is that most people look only for Hard Mode Missions, so If you want extras or master rewards in normal, you will rarely find an human group.

Hard Mode, in case anyone hasn't noticed, is Anet's 6-monthly campaign update. Expansion. Whatever you want to call it.

That was my favorite part! Sure, I spend some time learning the emotes from wiki, and got past that. If it's the last mission to master for you, then do it, and good luck

As for hard mode restrictions:

As it is, you have to finish the campaign which does give you an idea of the missions involved, and starting a new character is no reason to be forced to start from scratch.

I'm de facto against character-elitism, as much as possible should be account based for those of us playing multiple characters.
