Guys you either need to reduce the price of the lockpicks a little, or ramp up the %. You should be able to make the price of the picks back on a run a large percentage of the time, as i can on keys, but with the pick being made of glass, im at 31%, and it breaks way more the 3 out of 4 times, i can't keep up with buying them.

I could careless about the price if the % acctully happened.
I'm at 20% and I kept 5 out of my last 40, a meer 12.5%
3 less picks kept than the pecentage states.
3 is not alot to complain about I guess, but I have not seen anyone posting that they are hitting their pecentage mark, everyone says they are under aswell

I would like to see the % raised. as it stands now I have broken every pick every time i have used one. My luck rating sucks i never went for the title its maybe 20% or lvl 1.

The price of lock-picks is fine, they open ANY chest ingame and have a chance of not being destroyed. If anything, they should be more expensive due to that.
Perhaps the % chance of surviving needs to be increased, but not hugely. I dont have any lucky ranks, and my treature hunter title is only rank 1, yet my lock-picks seem to survive to open 2 chests nearly all the time.
It seems worth it to me.
We have other high-end keys which cost 1.5k, but offer NO % chance of surviving, and only open ONE type of chest!
If we reduced the cost of lock-picks, would we not have to do the same with them?

I bought only one lockpick and I used it on a high end chest. I got a purple and the lockpick "broke". I sold the purple at the mechant for 60g. Totally not worth it!! I don't have the money to spend on 100's of lockpicks. I want to at least get my money back from the chest drops before the lockpick breaks. Maybe to much to ask?

In the last 5 chests I've opened, 3 Locked Chests and 2 Vabbi Chests, I got a 20% demonbane sword mod, a Bloodstained Insignia, and a Rune of Superior Vigor, and only 2 of the Lockpicks broke.
I'm happy.

Identified purple items from high end chests are usually worth at least more than 100gp...

Its dont think you should generalise from 5... Ive used 60 lockpicks so far and the percentage seems fine to me - Ive helped written a big thing in the commuinity resources about why lockpicks are far cheaper than keys to buy
Though Ive got to say to the person who went "Totally not worth it" after one bad chest - Did you think you'd always make more than the key price on the item

I think they need to greatly increase the percentage for lower end chests only so people can work on their lucky titles more. I took a lockpick in ascalon, and it broke on the first chest with a 65% chance of retaining.
Make it 75% on the lowest chests without any titles, and maybe 5-10% more on the nest few tiers of chests that are below high end chests (chests with key values of 450g or less).
However, the rate is fine for high end chests, Ive had some very nice loot from HM chests.

I just meant that it was not worth it that time. And I wish you can at least make your money back before your lockpick breaks, but I'll keep trying. I was just very exited the first time I used it and my expectations was maybe to high and I was a bit dissapointed.
