Minion Controls
We can order our heroes and we can order our pets, but what about our minions? How many times have your minions wandered off only to get killed, leaving you with a full bar of energy and no minions?
I'd love to be able to order my minions around. Rangers have a non-elite skill that gives them a pet that levels and is an enormous benefit. I wouldn't mind having the ability to order around my Fleshy (elite skill) and have the whole squadron of minions following it around.
Yes, I know you must level your pet and there are skills involved that allow for it to attack, etc. Aren't flesh golems pretty much a consistent minion once you find one corpse? They make a nice, high damage tank that can be rezzed when it dies.
I'm sure there is a balance issue involved here, but the short lifespan of minions should balance out the benefits of a ranger pet, IMO. Even a skill that does nothing but take up space on my bar (Charm Animal) that would allow me to order my minions, or at least one minion with others following, would vastly benefit a MM. Click here for info on the ranger pet pane. Something like this:
Undead Lieutenant - Enchantment Spell. 10 - 1 - 30
For 20...60...90 seconds target undead servant becomes an undead lieutenant and can be controlled using the Undead Lieutenant Panel. All of your minions follow the commands of the Undead Lieutenant. This spell ends if the Undead Lieutenant is slain. (50% failure with Death Magic 4 or less.)
As far as programming goes, having Charm Animal in your skill bar will activate the "pet control panel." Having Undead Lieutenant in your skill bar would do the same with the minion panel.
Food for thought.
