Skill requests. Paragon
Hiya. I'm writing these down because...
1. Paragon's have the most lamest skills ever but I love the profession!
2. These come to me in my sleep.
--------------------------------------
Skill: Viper's Spear
Descript: Launch a poisonous spear at target foe poisoning them for: 1..10secs
E:5 A:1 RC: 5
-------------------
Skill: Hawksight Throw
Descript: Throw a spear that moves 2x times faster and causes bleeding for 1..5secs if it hits. This skill does nothing if not under the effects of a shout or chant. This skill cannot be blocked.
Adren:6 A:0 RC:0
-------------------
[Elite] Skill: Enraging Toss
Descript: Throw a spear that does +8..14 (max 16) additional dmg. If it hits a moving foe gain 1..3 (max 4) strikes of adren and land a deep wound.
Adren:8 A:0 RC:0
-------------------
[Note:] I'm doing spear attacks because paragons have NOTHING in the way of spear attacks.
-------------------
Skill: Glazing defense
Descript: Whilst under the effects of a chant. For 15seconds (Max 18) You have a 20...75% (max 76%) to block attacks. (now remember no chant goes longer than 20seconds.)
E:5 A:0 RC:40
-------------------
[Note] It's about time someone adds more than one lousy defense skill..That's why paragons have gone downhill...They can't protect themselves..I've used a lot of skills...I've played with primary skills only. Besides Defensive Anthem (s) I think that this would be the only 2nd defense skill they have. Angelic Bond (s) and the protection one is for target other ally only. (if I'm wrong please correct)
-------------------
[Elite] Skill: Quivering Spear
Descript: Launch a spear that moves 3times as fast and does an additional +8...20dmg if it is blocked you are dazed for 1...4seconds and Quivering Spear is disabled for 8seconds.
Adren: 4 A: 1/4 RC:0
--------------------
Please ANET consider. Paragons are great...They are short of attacks and you might of already noticed. Dervish's have about 10-20 attack skills and paragons have roughly 10....If you think some of these are okay then add. I'd love to see them in the NF game or even added to EoTN. GW2 wateva...
Cheers.

poor paragons, btw Quivering spear makes no logical sense. The reason it works with a sword is that you'd get recoil from the weapon...
Perhaps if you stand really, really close?
[Spear Mastery][Elite]
Coordinated Strike
5E 1/4C 10R
Throw a spear that deals 50..20..10% less damage and cannot be blocked. For 4..8..10 Seconds Target Is hexed with Coordinated Strike. Attacks on hexed foe cannot be blocked.
Now THATS something id like to see, Give the hex a big visual effect so your party members know

Paragons have enough good skills, offensive and defensive.
The only problem is that they get sorta exponentional better when more of them are in a team, there is some sick synergy between paragon skills if you have a coordinated party of 3-4 paragons, in a team of 8.
This is imo the main problem why they lack self defense and good ''solo'' skills, as this would be unbalanced in a party of paragons all running those skills.
So if you want some good ''solo'' skills for paragons, make sure they are really good balanced.
just my 2 cents...

I like the way you said "Perhaps if you stand really, really close?" Thats something i really wanted to see. Why does the paragon have to throw their spear?

Quivering Spear could be at half range, but it still wouldn't make much sense.
Here's some skills I just came up with in 3 seconds =D
Spear of Sand
10 energy, 15 second recharge time
Throw a spear of sand to target foe. Target foe is hit for an additional 2...17 earth damage and is blinded for 2...7 seconds. (Spear Mastery).
Vigorous Strikes
5 energy, 1 second casting time, 20 second recharge time
Chant. For 20 seconds whenever target ally's melee attacks are blocked, the blocking foe suffers 14...53 damage. (Motivation).
Eye of the Sun
5 energy, 60 second recharge time
Skill. for 1...10 seconds, you deal fire damage and your attacks cannot be block. (Leadership).
Wings of an Angel
15 energy, 2 second casting time, 15 second recharge
Skill. For 3...10 seconds, target other ally moves 25% faster and cannot be damaged by all sources. This skill ends if target ally uses a skill or successfully hits a foe. (Leadership).
Anthem of Flight (elite)
5 energy, 1 second casting time, 15 second recharge
Chant. The next time when a party member within earshot uses an attack skill, that ally runs 33% faster and deal +1...14 damage to moving foes for 1...11 seconds. (Command).
Yes, I put very little thought into these, so I wouldn't be surprised if these are very unbalanced.
ADDED:
hehe, I forgot to put the skill attributes in, that might help.

Ooo Gameshoes I like some of your skills. IMO paragons are weak and utterly useless in PVP...Btw Anet is bringing out perhaps a dual-split system to separate PVP skills and PvE skills...To stop people like ohcraplions from complaining.
Paragons are a weaker form of the warrior. Quivering spear would work. I don't think anyone's done their spear-research nor have gone hunting with one yet. I've used spears when I was in Africa. A quivering spear wobbles as it flies through the air. Because it has been thrown so fast it basically splits apart on impact therefore a paragon would have to rebuild his spear in order to use it again. DUH. Am i the only one who is thinking here?
C'mon I used to work at a Medieval Event...I used to forge those types of weapons.

I've seen a paragon spike work before, so they aren't worthless in PvP. They can also be a pain to kill with any other spike because its a party full of people with a lot of armor (don't forget the shields they have).

Something A-Net has been trying to do for a while now has been nerfing Paragon Defense while buffing Paragon offense. Something I'd like to see instead of adjusting skills: Have the paragon attack with their spear in melee when enemies close to adjacent range, instead of continuing to toss the spear. They could buff the offence of the weapon by increasing it's attack rate while the paragon fights in melee range.
Now that'd be cool.

Because removing a deep wound from a distance does make sense.

That's cool that quivering spear can work, it's just the backfire on it doesn't.
Anyway, thank you for liking my poorly thought skills =D

No problemo. Most people aren't actually reviewing the real-life physics and it clouds their judgements.
Okay another lot of skills.
-------------------------
Eye's of the Dwayna:
Attr: Leadership
Type: [Elite] Skill
E: 10 A:none RC: 45seconds
Descript: For 0...15seconds Target ally cannot be blinded and any enemy that lands an attack on target ally suffers 5...30(max 40 attr-16) holy damage and becomes blinded for 1...10seconds.
--------------------------------
Hunter's Spear:
Attr: Spear mastery
Type: Spear attack
E:5 A:3/4 RC:12
Descript: Launch a sneeky spear that interupts target foe dealing no damage and if that foe is moving inflicts +5...10 additional damage and bleeding for 1...5seconds
------------------------------
New one: (Hoping ANET allows this feature)
Devastating Jab:
Attr: Spear Mastery
Type: [Elite] Melee Attack
E: 15 A:1/2 RC: 8
Descript: Thrust your weapon into target foe striking 1..4 times dealing +1...34 piecing damage
(Note: High energy output denotes no over-powering...This skill wouldn't be able to be ECHO'd on account of it's Type.)
I'll get the rest later on.

I think skill request pages just need to stop being allowed on here.
Do you think anyone at Anet is actually going to make your skills? Or that they care if 'you' think paragons are weak?
I use a paragon hero all the time in PVE and cant wait for a second one in Gwen, and, erm, paragons are useless in PVP??? Lmao, did you ever see how overpowered they were before they had to be nerfed to hell for HA? Even now they are perfectly powerful, especially in a para spike.
Oh, I just noticed your a wammo, that explains a lot.

I would most disagree with your statement.
