GUI Improvement. Colors in PvE.
With the addition of Hard mode, and monsters ahving insane cast and recharge times... I found that mosters that use wells and wards use them much more.
And the screens get filled with them.
To counter enemy wells I usually use quick cast and recharge skills such as Well of Weariness or Putrid explosion.
In PvP, you'll see different colors for Wards and Well effects. But in PvE, they are all red. So you have no way to say who made the well but by entering it.
So here's my suggestion: Add an option to the 'Gameplay' tag in the Options panel, so you can choose your preferred PvE party color.
The setting would be ignored in PvP, you would still get randomly Red, Yellow or Blue.
But in PvE, that color would be used in your party panel and colored skill effects, so if you chose 'red' enemies appear in 'blue' and sch colors are shown in wards and wells.
Additionally, different colors could be used for different factions, like this:
- NPCs that ignore and are ignored by enemies: Current black background.
- NPCs that engage enemies: your color.
- Wild animals and other 'green' named enemies or allies: Green until they turn hostile, they they change into another color.
For the rest, one color not already used by you.
- Other enemies: one color per 'faction'.
What enemies have different factions?
- Mantids and wardens.
- Am Fah and Jade Brotherhood.
- Titans and Mursaat.
- Stone Summit and Mursaat.
- Margonites and Awakened.
- Avicara and Trolls.
- Skree Harpies and Heckets.
- Revel Dredge and Stone summit.
- Yeti and Sensali Tengu.
Etc...
