The Seid
Support/Damage
Light Armor
Mid-level Energy
Melee/Mid-Ranged
The Seid is a Slavic (Viking/Berserker/Seid)-themed melee/support buffer that has a common theme of balance and sacrifice. Through use of states, bonds and other enchancements, the Seid can sacrifice energy, health, attribute levels or suffer conditions to become more powerful in other areas. Its role is one of a self-buffing melee class on par with a hammer warrior, although by sacrificing its role as a damage-dealer, it can, depending on its attribute investment, play the role of a condition spreader or even a monk alternative that does more than simply protect or heal. Its primary attribute gives it a percentage chance to increase the attributes of its skills by 1 when used, and converts conditions into energy. It makes an excellent secondary profession, and can utilize its own primary to enchance the potency of secondary lines.

Ethermage
Wow, seems like a long time ago...
Ranged, Caster armor, Caster energy (30 base), support/disable/minor damage/minor healing
Things it brings to the game: different levels of interaction of characters, i.e. in different dimensions, planes, whatever.
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10052016
Quote:
The original Ethermages were not planeswalkers - they were metamagicians, investigating the science of magic. It was that small clique which discovered the different planes, and how to traverse between them. The Ethermages have gradually changed meaning since then. Ethermages now still study the arcane arts of their predecessors, but they also focus on planeswalking.
Although permanent, stable connections to other planes, for example the Mists, require days or even weeks to produce a gateway, temporal links between uncomplicated planes (such as the Ethereal plane and the alternate Time plane) can be created at will by ones who study as an Ethermage.
Symbols: The Hierophant inscribes magical runes on the floor. Cannot be interrupted by non-spell interrupts, such as Savage Shot and Distracting Shot. However, can still be interrupted by Power Spike and the like. In short: All skills that interrupt "Skills" do not work on Inscriptions, but skills that interrupt "Spells" do.
Phase Out: Remove from reality for a limited duration. You cannot do anything when you are phased out (including normal movement unless otherwise specified), and you do not regain energy and health; however you cannot be targeted, cannot be attacked, et cetera. You drop all objects that you are currently holding, and lose all enchantments and hexes. They are reapplied (with their current duration) after the Phasing out. I ripped off from Magic: the Gathering. :P
Ethereal Form: Transfer to Ethereal plane for a limited duration. You cannot attack nonethereal beings in this form, nonelemental or chaos attacks fail, and you are immune to all damage except elemental, holy, dark, and chaos damage. All Physical damage you deal in this form becomes chaos damage. When your Energy reaches 0 in this state, you die. You are considered a Spirit while in Ethereal Form. You can walk through non-Ethereal characters while in Ethereal form. When you are an Ethereal character, you lose all natural regeneration.

You know, I feel like a hypocrite for saying this, but:
I can´t keep updating this thread. I'm not sure what I was thinking, but maintaining a list of CCs while studying abroad in Argentina was not a great idea. I've got all sorts of stuff to do, plus the laptop dying really hampers my ability to connect to the internet. When I'm back in the states, I'll try and revive the thread.
Sorry all!
Feel free to keep posting if you wish. It could still be a helpful thread if everyone sticks to the format. Your CC won't get added to the OP though...

Well that ends it fellows, the CC thread is basicly pointless now.
The last addition to GW one will be an expansion, and GW 2 woln't enter beta til 2008, with radically different gameplay.
It was fun to ponder new class ideas, and I'm glad to contribute to a developer who actually reads and draws interests from it's players, but we are in for something new.
I have alot of ambition for their new creation, with some success and insight in developement I think they could introduce outstanding new features, much like I have continoually suggested. I am glad they are stepping into something new and making the effort to reach new levels, I hope they do this with the upmost creativity and inclusion to make GW 2 into a revolution in gaming and blow away even WoW. Here's to the future of Arena.net, now where's a dedicated thread to start suggesting content for GW2?

Well... I think I would still make some CC, just for personal entertainment of couse.
However, that is not to say CC can't not exist... especially if consider the possiblity of "what if " each of the new race have its own core proffession. There might still be some creative extantion on that.

Actually, from a second read of the upcoming features, the new races will be playable in GW2, and be Hero NPC in GW1.

I wonder If those heroes will have whatever racial mechanisms Anet has in mind implemented.
As in perhaos they will have racial clases or perhaps racial bonuses, but probaly they will thake the easy way out and just make them like every other hero and hench, only difference bing in looks.

The Cignatus:
http://www.guildwarsguru.com/forum/s...php?t=10147530
Damage/Disable
Caster Armor
Caster Energy
Ranged
This class deals with attacking from afar with cards and "dealing out" hexes and conditions to foes. It uses a special attribute called Shuffling as its primary attribute (as you will see on the main page of the class, the definite description of Shuffling has not been decided on and needs to be voted on). Its skills use a lot of chance, sometimes benefiting the user and sometimes hurting them. The attributes are: Shuffling, Card Mastery, Exposure(the condition/hex line), and Shillouette Magic(healing and support for the Cignatus). This class's name is up in the air and it may need to be called something else, please post about what you believe the name should be.

Well, I have the idea of the Seigist to present
Support/Damage
Meduim Armor
High Energy
Ranged Melee
The Seigist is a support mid-ranged melee profession. He can create barricades and forts (all explained in the thread). The seigists attack using a sling that is hung over their back that usually throws rock or something like that... lead balls...
