Try making the paragon passable again
Its getting rediculous how Anet has turned the paragon into a totally useless class... spear attacks were nerfed to the point of uselessness and freaking motivation is gargage now. Myself and many other players don't even consider paragons a threat in pvp anymore and all my mission groups would rather not waste a party member. Anets devs must prize the dervish as their little baby because there is a serious balance issue here that needs to be adresses.

What universe do you live in? Paragon's are still ridiculously overpowered.

Tadpole, have you ever heard of paraway? That's 8 paragons in one group on a HA run. I think it even held halls once. Paragons are not underpowered as a whole.

Paragons just need teammates around them. Then they can do something really good.

Paragons by themselves are meh to decent. its when you have multiple paragons that they become overpowered.

yea but you could say that about anything, 1 ele is alright you get 8 of them and you got some damage. 1 warrior can do his share, 8 warriors pound the hell outta you.... i have to agree with tad here, even though paragons can be used in special circumstances all in all they suck.... they got like 10 to maybe 15 good skills..... thats it.

There is something wrong when they have superior offense and defense. While 8 Elementalists is something to behold, they're weak defensively, or 8 Warriors have weaknesses in terms of hexes and conditions. Paragons don't have that factor, so they can sit there throwing their spears, removing conditions and hexes, all the while healing themselves. Of course, that's a slight exaggeration but it does show how powerful they are.

ok... well as i know of the paragon hex removal is meek at best and the healing almost a failure, the offense is even worse..... really you could do much better with 8 ritualists, but i will say the same thing that i have said about the recent Soul Reaping nerf.... just because one group of people have found a way to use a class very effectively does in no way make the class overpowered, if htat was the case then every single class should be hit with a nerf nuke cause they are all "overpowered"
in my eyes, the casual player cannot use a paragon effectively without a specialty setting in mind for a specific group. they are much too much of a narrow margin class, in much the same way mesmers are, and everyone will agree that mesmers are very narrow minded in their implementation and need some help right.
i still stand with my statement that paragons need help.

Paragons are great, even in PvE if your team isn't scattered around like idiots and out of shout range. The only reason why they're underused is because they're like mesmers...not very well understood and don't fit the 3 stereotypes of cookie-cutter team builds (tanking, nuking, healing).

Make their leadership do not work with other paragons and done, no more 8 Paragon teams.
We have a saying in Galicia 'Onde hai patrón non manda mariñeiro' that means 'Where there is skipper no sailor leads', so... how come each one of the 8 paragons can give orders to all the other 7? Simply senseless...
Once that is done, the skills won't need to be nerfed because 8 paragon teams are too powerfull.

Even after all the nerf, Paragon still formidable to fight or play as in HA team. In pve the team need to be build around them to get the most out of the class. Sadly this will never happen in pugs and their tiny minds, then again I don't pug.
There are a lot of good builds for para all of them need teamwork: Tof tank, spear spike team, SYG & ToF party defence buff, conditions. Just because a para can't motivated as well as before doesn't mean one is rubbish.

Yeah, you just need to unlock the 10/20 one then the 20/20 one. I think that's what you meant.

That comment is moot at best.
Check GvG battles and have a look at what the Paras can do in battle.
Ok, they have to resort to a handful of skills usable but still they're a very nice class to play.
Bringing up comments to change their primary to not work with other paras?
How on earth are you planning to do that then?
I'm curious

Hex Removal: Expel Hexes
Healing: REPEATED ACTIVATION of Finale of Restoration OR multiple Song of Restoration. Now what's weak?
Offense: DPS higher than axe or sword, deep wound, burning, spreading bleeding, decent +damage on their attack skills. Anthem of Guidance and Anthem of Fury to bolster their speed of spikes and prevention of blocking. "Go for the Eyes!" enhances critical chances. Permanent 25% IAS (~33% more hits)
Skill Counters: Roaring Winds, Vocal Minority, Ulcerous Lungs. All of which are targeted towards Paragons, but weak on a balanced group, meaning the counters aren't viable as a must have to take down masses of Paragons.
The Paragon is probably the only profession that can handle high offense combined with high defense at the same time. All other professions must choose one or the other.

Once did a practice run in the Zaishen Challenge against the degeneration team to get used to the profession. Saw the Warrior Frenzy/Healsig, so I spiked him to death with a "Go for the Eyes!" enhanced Spear of Lightning. -224 was the number that popped up.
