Oh no, we certainly don't want a dead player to use his minipet to collect his loot and deprive his "teammates" of a chance to steal his 15^50 req 8 gold item now, would we? That just wouldn't be fair...

lol, I agree. I really don't understand people saying "oh it would unbalance the game too much". I see no way it could unbalance the game. It's your loot, if you die you would go back and collect any valuable loot anyway right?
It gives the minipet meaning, and a purpose, because at the moment they are useless.

They are for ascetics, just like 15k armour. Should 15k armour give you +10 armour vs. all PvE monsters? No, because it would be unfair to those without enough money.
Also, in a mission, if everyone dies, any drops are lost. Same with UW, FoW, The Deep and Urgotz. So yes, being able to pick up loot while dead will have an effect on PvE.

That's exactly my point. Even if it could only pick up things in your aggro circle, that would still mean that it would be able to go further than you without aggro'ing anything. Your arggo circle moves with you, don't forget that.

But that would disadvantage the poorer/newer players who don't have a mini pet.
That's the WHOLE reason I don't sign this. If it it is something that has functionality isn't available in some form or another in mass quanitity to everybody (ie crafter equivalents, purchasable from merchants), it shouldn't be in game.

You could say it's unfair that max dmg weapons are in the game then, a poorer/newer player might not have a very good weapon but everyone else does, thats a disadvantage. Another disadvantage are runes, it's not fair that I have max armor complete with runes but a newer/poorer/less experienced player does not..... really minipets can be bought as cheaply as 3k, I see them all the time. If someone is that bothered about the disadvantage to themselves of not being able to pick up drops, they should spend a few k and get a minipet.

I think its a good idea =p
AFter these years of either waiting for, or buying these over expensive minpets, shouldn't they at elast do something besides prance around and look pretty?
Either pick up items or attack, that would be interesting to.

As I said, there are crafters and collectors for max weapons. There are rune traders for runes.
Max weapons and runes drop all the time. People only get 1 minipet a year. Dispite how common they are (at 3k a piece), they are still in FAR more limited quanitity then a 15^50 sword.
I disagree with this idea because it would almost require people to carry around a NOVALITY item.

If this was implemented, those minipets wouldn't cost 3k anymore. They'd be going for more like 20k+. Although, I do have 5 mini pigs sitting around on my PvP/storage character, maybe I could make a good bit of money.
