Default Quest Rewards

I have tried to do, and done all but a few, quests in the game. Now I asked around and it turns around a lot of people don't even bother with them and now that I think about it, why did I? For my own sense of completion? Millions of experience with no rewards.

So heres the suggestion. Reward people for actually doing quests like the titan quests which are often very hard to get a team for, maybe a quest master title or maybe item rewards or you can plan farther ahead and have it make a difference in GW2. Just seems to be worthless making the tons of quests you do when they really prove nothing. Sure their something to do in your free time and sure some are challenging but in the end your just as well off if not upset at the few that were the hardest and you have no way to prove you did a thing more than anyone else besides your own claims.

Hope this hasn't been suggested xD

I for one liked having skills as quest rewards, a skill is quite a good reward as once unlocked it will be unlocked forever.

They changed that with factions, which I though was understandable.
While in prophecies you had been an Ascelon soldier, and already get payed to fight you would be rewarded with favors instead of cash.
As a traveling student of a monastery you do favors for the people and the country so you get payed for your services.

I think quests should offer for more diverse awards than they do now, perhaps using the split between being rewarded with favors or with money.
And a Do-gooder(quest master) title seems a good step in the direction as well.

Exp title so all the pro farmers can get super high levels of it and questers are still getting jipped. Maybe trade in skill points for a special skinned armor or customized weapon? That way pro farmers don't get anything more out of it but regular players can get some cool stuff...

Skill rewards still would be meaningless to seasoned players.
The Titan Quests and Master quests should have maxed unique items as rewards to make them interesting.

I liked the skills as rewards system for quests and lamented that loss. It was a nice way to develop new characters coming through the game. Shame it was removed. Its not like the new rewards are of enough value either, so they should buff them a bit somehow.

I did like the skills as quest rewards, but there are other options for good quest rewards.

For instance: customized items that were particularly special, that you would get only from quests, like the -50 cesta from the Ascalon quest(except they would be customized so that farmers couldn't just buy them) Things that would be special but wouldn't be game-breaking. Things that would only be available to questers.

I also think that greater amounts of money as quest rewards would be a good idea, the end-game quests really should give money or unique items rather than exp.

I think it would be awesome if there was a complete over-haul of quest rewards, and they restarted all the quests so that even if you had already done it you could do it again.

I suppose it wouldn't be fair otherwise, if unique quest rewards would be added.

Well, A-net have a way of recording what quests you've done and not done (like they did with Razah and how they turn off a quest once you've done it) so they could always do another 'money back' thing.

What I mean is, if they add Armour of the Titans as a special armour you get for completing the titan's quests in tyria then everyone who's already done The Titan Source can get a quest where they go to ascalon and speak to a guard there to get their armour. No problem.

The XP awards for SF and titans are simply not worth it, whereas DOA gets loads of good items.

I know it's been mentioned before, but there definetely needs to be some kind of Quest/Adventurer title for those of us who actually bother with completing them.

That I do agree with :P No to the title, yes to good rewards for endgame quests.

'cept for a major reworking on the affected NPCs' texts from the devs' side.

Been suggested many times, and having done countless quests myself, I would love a reward.

It's only fair to reward actual gameplay and a hell of a lot more interesting than the current title rewards for pointless wall-licking, sugar-drink clicking, alcohol-zoning, AFK standing activities.

Some thought and game design has gone into these quests also, just look at the many quests in Elona. Why have them go to waste? I know of virtually nobody but myself who cares about doing quests at all.

A title for making all non repeatable quests available for all campaings...

And non-repeatable quests that can be done once and consist in making once the repeatable ones. Like the Two non.repeatable Grenth's Footprint quests.

(For example, a quest for cleaning the Tombs, another for killing Urgoz)

Then, make all the non.repeatable quests available for all characters (after Souther Shiverpeaks, After Istan and After Shing Jea)

And done... a strong reason to make them all!

Giving a skill as a reward was an excellent idea. The only problem was that they'd let you buy it later. What they ought to do is have some skills only available through doing the quest.

That'd probably annoy the vast majority of players who bypass all the quests only to buy the skills they want at the end. But I think it'd definitely encourage questing.

Okay, they wouldn't be elites, but they might be very important to certain builds. And to a skill hunter, it means they have to do all the quests that involve gaining skills.

Perhaps they should only 'add' the skill to a skill seller towards one of the end cities, but instead of selling the skill, it would merely redirect them to the person to see to learn that skill. It makes sense too, since a skill vendor isn't going to 'know' all the skills anyway.
