Just to start, I love all this new skills, and my Mesmer WAS very happy with the new skills, until I discovered that these skills can be used by ANYONE if the character changes its secondary to the desired Sunspear/Faction PVE skills that he or she wants to use.

I think this is totally unfair, for example:

Why pugs would pick a paragon r10 sunspear, if they can get a monk/paragon r10 sunspear??? Monks will be able to use the same skill, with the same efficiency, and also will be able to normally heal the others!!!

So please, I hope you read this Gaile, and please, PLEASE, MAKE THE SKILLS UNLOCKABLE ONLY FOR THEIR RESPECTIVE PRIMARY PROFESSIONS!!!

I would hate to see the Paragon disappear because of PvP nerfs. Restricting Sunspear skills to your primary solves the desire issue for your particular class.

Yeah I agree. I don't think it would be fair to have a profession skill, only to have it better-used by another class.

Erm, I always use paragons in PVE. However, every human paragon I have ever had has never been able to play the bar I want, so I just use Morgahn instead.

Paragons in PVE are generally very bad at it, which is the reason why they dont get picked for groups. Actually, 90%+ of PVe players that are LFG are very bad at the game. The quality of pugs is way too low to allow me to consider using them anymore.

Anyway, it makes no sense having a secondary and not being able to use its skills. Isnt the whole point of having a secondary the fact that you can use the secondary skills? Duuuuur.

Same thing here, if they make this skills primary only, I can really see better things for Mesmers and paragons in the future

Maybe there's another solution... make them have "exclusive benefits", a Primary will be able to use it better than Secondary.
For example, look at the Assassin Sunspear Skill, Critical Agility :
"For 6...13 seconds, you attack 33% faster and gain +10..22 armor. This Skill reapplies itself every time you land a Critical Hit"

Everyone can use it, right? but only the Assassin truly benefits from the last part, as the Assassin constantly lands Critical Hits.

So i suggest giving such bonuses to all of these new skills, What do you think?

You're kidding right? I love playing around as a channeling Rt/E, is that overpowered? no! I could see an A/W put both sunspear skills to great synergy, and the paragon skill is pretty unusable without a leadership-spec. I love the versatility of cross-class skill combo's, don't kill it!

these SS skills were *supposed* to be released alongside HM. Considering how stupidly overpowered certain areas are in HM, how they just cram in junk like halves cast time/doubles attack speed/etc, some cheese on our part isn't uncalled for.

Now I agree with you in theory -- balance. But HM isn't balanced, and this perhaps was meant to even that (although, fixing one broken aspect with introducing another broken aspect is about as elegant as soul reaping, I admit).

forget this notion - they bug the necro so we randomluy get denied energy, then make the sunspear skill spam, spam, spam, spam, baked beans eggs and spam... if it wasn't for secondary skills we'ld have nothing worth carrying.

See, the point of sunspear skills is majorly to unkill professions that are being nerfed constantly such as Paragon or Mesmer who is unable to own as much in PvE but buffing would make PvP unbalanced. By letting ANYONE have the skills, it is not just the profession that has a unique benefit.

Yeah I wouldn't want any other profession to use my godly Ranger skill. It breaks my heart thinking of all other professions and their measly skills when I get 25% higher attack rate and the equivalent of mending for just 25 energy provided I use two skill slots to bring my mighty pet.

They STATED that their intention was to help out memsers, paragons and other less desirable classes into groups. To that end, these skills MUST BE made available to their respective primary professions or it defeats their objective completely.
