Extremely Simple Spam Reduction
Have the client collapse identical lines that occur one after the other, there's no reason to ever have the client display identical lines in rapid fire.

That would work. But I remember a few months ago the spam was the following:
WTS Perfect Shield handle of fortitude01 WTS Perfect Shield handle of fortitude02 WTS Perfect Shield handle of fortitude03 WTS Perfect Shield handle of fortitude04 Once that starts back up again your idea stops working. But then it should be easy for ANET to tell the difference between the enter-up-enter people and the people using a bot, because the bot will do it faster. I'd also suggest that if its been over 30 seconds since the last unsuppressed line, it gets displayed. Also if someone says something between repeated lines, the repeated remains suppressed. Also give us the option to turn it off. Not that I can think of a reason to turn it off. /signed. |

Wow, I never woulda thought of that.

Want a good thing? Make a right-click meu popup in names at chat panel, with some commands, like: Invite Whisper Ignore Add friend Trade Select Copy name etc... And other possible commands to do with other characters. |
