Dutch District
I'm talking here for many dutch players ( hundreds of them, thousands....)
We think it should be good that there should be a dutch district.
There are very much players from Belgium and the Netherlands, very very much, all speaking dutch and driving the English players crazy.
Cause we go to the English districts...
And everywhere you look out there, they are walking around.
If you travel to Kamadan, and you ask,
'' Hey, who's dutch here?'', there will be many reactions, tha same in less known cities... You don't even have to ask it, they are talking in Dutch anyway.
In present, dutch people don't want to speak English any longer, cause there are only a few English people and much more Dutch people in the English districts (!).
So we just start talking dutch the whole time and refuse to talk English.
Cause if we start a mission or something, our whole party is randomly chosen and it's full of dutch people and maybe one English guy....
What should you do?
So, if you are English and sick of all those ''stupid'' dutch speaking people.
Or you are Dutch yourself and sick of dominating the English districts,
please answer this one and '' force '' ( ) Arenanet to listen to us and create a
**** DUTCH DISTRICT*****
*applaus*

What about a Swedish District? Or Romanian, Serbian, or Greek?
Frankly, I don't know how exactly they decide what districts to make, but I they probably have their reasons. They're not exactly able to create a district for all European languages.
Perhaps they will consider Dutch if there are a large enough number of players that speak it. However for the moment, the main districts are limited to those belonging to the biggest gaming countries (and therefore biggest gaming languages).

Erm ... you seem to have forgotten that about 40% of the citizens from our kingdom has French as native language. I personally know several of them in-game.

@ Bazompora^There is a French district for them already.
I'm Dutch, but for me personally the English district is fine. I've been playing English games for ages so I've enough understanding for the language now. And I like to play with ppl from all over Europe, not just the Dutch.
But sure, I think there is quite some demand for more localized districts in GW. Not just Dutch but some other languages as well.
But there are also major drawbacks of more districts. It will scatter players even more, making it harder to find a part or to trade. Also, it will require a huge investment in servers, since there will need to be a lot of new districts to be up and running.
Overall, I think the drawbacks are larger then the advantages, so my vote is:

I think they should remove all language districts and instead make several global chats for all districts like all ppl from dutch would get an own game chat, all players then get to choose what chat to hear and what chat to speak in. I personally dont like having to travel to the different language districts to find players and when in non english language district if feels kindof stupid saying something in english.
I suggest that they divide the districts to a trade district, normal district and a hardmode district. And please make chatt channels for all languages.

I'm Dutch myself, and i would like to add that there are WAY more Dutch-speaking people than for example Italian and Spanish - strangely they DO get a district.
But actually i wish there was only an english district so people would start meeting people from other countries and learn other languages, this is the beauty of playing online.

Thousands?
I'm Dutch myself but my personal experience tells me that a Dutch distrikt is unneeded and would only make distrikts less populated then they already are (especially in prophesies) so I say

The only significant dutch subgroup needinga dutch distrikt would I reckon be kids under the age of 13. Most people at 13 and above usually speak english well enough to be able to cope with GW just like we can cope with allmost all games in The Netherlands being in english

Whahaha, the dutch are one of the best at foreign languages in europe. The only thing a dutch district will add is that I can hear all the trash talking in my native tongue.
'WARIOR HEALER IS EEN LEECHER, NEEM HEM NIET IN JE TEAM!'
'OMG, takke-touch-rangers'
'Niet met jou, alleen met je moeder!'
go figure :P

Personally i would like for everyone to learn how to speak english!
- language barriers only serve to divide, not unite, and lets face it: the language of the "western world" is english!
Im from Denmark - and i opted against joining a danish guild! If there were danish districts i wouldn't use them for the same reason: meet new people,- not from across the street - from across the globe!
We actually have two dutch guys in our guild - and their english is more than adequate! As bungusmaximus points out: the dutch have a fine tradition for learning other languages (just as we do) - so use them!

I do know that, y'know ... I was only pointing out that Sterrekat's argument was completely neglecting the fact.
I preferred the way the European servers were before they were split in different languages, because right now, we Belges are scattered over French, English and German districts. No need to add another split-off (yeah, I know a fellow-countryman in GW who has English as native language).
We should demand for non-language bound European districts to be added in the list of language districts, and have that selectable as default.
And no, International is no replacement for the good ol' mixed European districts (not to mention it's swarming of Asian trade bots over there).

I wouldn't like a Dutch District. Because I think if there is a Dutch District it will be like the Italian, 3 people in LA xD. And they would translate the game to Dutch aswell my Whammo is called a Krijger/Monk then :/.

Being Dutch, I disagree with this surgestion.
I read English, speak English, write English and while typing this post I'm thinking English without even translating Dutch to English.
However, I do understand that there are others that have more troubles with the English language.
I would prefer only one European District, instead of the several language based we have now.
The only time this could cause some 'trouble' is with large events like Halloween, where there were 50 German, 50 English and a lot of other districts. But then, I players on the American servers have the same 'trouble' I know not only US players, but also players from several other countries play on the US servers, not all native English speakers. It's no problem there, so why would there be here in Europe?
