The jade quarry - let me in!
The Jade quarry is one of the few places in Guild Wars that i haven't been to. Others include Shing Jea Arena, Hero Battles and Dragon's Throat Mission.
What's got me annoyed about The Jade Quarry is that it is the one place of the ones i have mentioned that i DO want to go to, but nobody else does.
It sounds like a really fun place from what Wiki says and i'm sure the new crippling shot could pay dividends there.
Apart from actually wanting to play that area, i'm also trying to squeeze out the last 0.3% on my exploration title. It's all i require to get my Legendary Cartographer title and i'm optimistic that TJQ can put it in the bag for me.
What can be done to make the place more popular instead of going there at peak times to find that you and "AFK Joe" are the only people in the entire world who are there?
The first thing that doesn't take much thinking is a boost to the faction that can be gained there. However, in order not to rob players from Fort Aspenwood, a different and broader approach has to be taken if faction is indeed the issue.
I was thinking something along the lines of special rewards for both Fort Aspenwood and The Jade Quarry similar to the Wintersday games.
Would players be willing to join up if they could grab a few points to add to their gamer title, or perhaps be rewarded with a few gifts of ale and sweets for their Drunkard and Sweet Tooth titles?
I think so.
I propose this for a Weekend Event...
Double Luxon/Kurzick Faction for FA and TJQ.
Double Balthazar faction for all PvP.
Ale, Sweets, PvE buff items and Gamer points for FA and TJQ.
Perhaps Keep ale rewards for one map and sweets for the other in order to have demand for both maps.
Please ArenaNet. Let there be light!
