This idea is about an Elite Mission where only the veterans can enter. Which means to have the "Kind of a Big Deal" title (or another levels of it) on at least one of your characters in your account (like in Hard Mode, if you finished the game with one of your character you can play HM with all). I don't mean the veterans are only the ones who have this title or more, but there should be a signature.

With this kind of a place and good drops in it, the place will become popular rapidly. People who doesn't have the title(s) yet will work on them more and more, which means that even s/he is a beginner and wants to enter the place (like for the rewards), s/he will become a good player with some hard work in a little time. I mean it will also boost the beginners. And because you need the title(s) to enter the area, it will actually give the players a main reason to gain the titles. Actually, the last updates of GW also give me hope (sunspear & faction skills) that probably producers think about this like things.

I know some amazing players that put no value on titles, and therefore have only maxed out the Protector titles.

Another form of Elitism is not required.

If you want an elite mission, you already have three to choose from. Fissure of Woe, Underworld, and Domain of Anguish. So there's no need for something more. If you don't find enough challenge in these three, do them in Hard Mode.

/notsigned Having Max Titles, for most people, means just lots of grind. There are a few who have KoaBD and beyond from stuff like Protectors, Guardians, Vanquishers, but there are a whole lot more who just got it from grinding SS/LB(like me ^_^)

Which are useful in game. That's the point I try to attract your attention actually. Cause to just grind and get the titles for just to show-off comes me really meaningless! Maybe an Elite Mission was a bad idea but I hope they can add on some more means to titles, like they did with the sunspear/kurzick-luxon skills. Like now most of the people grind sunspear points to max their sunspear skills, which is again boosted the grind actually.

Yes. But I don't want to see any of those noobs running around, so I want rank 3 of KoaBD or higher requirement.

I also don't want any eBayers, so anyone who has owned at least one piece of FoW on their account isn't allowed entry. Same for drunkard title. Or Lightbringer, we know everyone exploited rezzed mobs to get that. Or survivor, those guild skirmish exploiters...

Also, 5000 hours played minimum, and at least 8.5 million xp on the character trying to enter.

This place needs to be accessible only to those who play the game as "it was meant to be played". This also means that nobody who has ever spammed will be given access.

We really need something like that for true veterans, so we can bask in our own glow of leetness, without those pesky wammo noobs or other annoying elements.

Although, they might need to make group size for such a place one. And even then it would be hard to get a full group.

I play guild wars because I don't have to grind for things. I don't try to develope my titles, (with the exception of the friend of the luxon title, only title I really want.) I play the game to have fun, not to make it my second job.

You're all wrong. What the OP is proposing is not elitism. Elitism is spamming your Rank 9 Tiger n Kamadan dist 1.

I think the OP has a great idea. It is an extra reward and an incentive to play the game and get titles. Do you HAVE to have the Ambrace of Truth? Do you HAVE to have "Tormented" items? No. You don't have to have any of that. You can still play the game and enjoy it without the above items. So ask yourself... It is your GREED and ENVY talking? or it is common sense?

You simply cant live with the fact that the other guy wasted his whole day grinding and he got a cool item but you didn't grind and so you didn't get the item. It pisses you off. You will justify it by calling him an elitist.. You will justify it by saying that he has no life and he will never get laid.... But it is YOUR problem? No it's his. He deserves his reward for grinding his ass off, and if he's wasting his life, it's his life to waste. You are just jealous.

You can use a collector item and kick the ass of anyone using a perfect crystalline sword. You can wear an ugly armor and be 100% better in PvE and PvP than someone wearing FoW armor. That's the beauty of GW.

I say let those who grind have the best rewards as long as they don't give the grinders benefits other than a cool skin. I don't have much "rare" stuff and I'm doing fine.

Let the elitists be 1337.
