It's time to nerf Box Campers in Rollerbeetle Racing.
Going through this past festival, I have found that there is a quite disgustingly large problem in Rollerbeetle Racing: box campers. I recently resorted to this act myself, just so I could get the last few points I needed to cap off the next tier of my Skillz title.
I've got a brilliant idea to fix this: Next to the clock that says how much time has passed in the race, add a time counter that says how much time you have until you must get through the next checkpoint. This makes it so that people who are box camping have to move themselves and pick up speed through the next checkpoint, or their beetle becomes disqualified and they have to start over. By setting good amounts of time between each checkpoint, it can be ensured that very little box camping will be able to take place.
Another (less serious) issue I have is when box campers take all of their Rocks and Blasts and launch them one after another at one player, preventing them from making any headway in the race. It would be a shame if someone were to do this to another person, and they'd both end up not making the next checkpoint. To fix this, when Rollerbeetles are knocked down, they should be given a one or two second immunity against more knockdowns. That would prevent them from ultimately being stopped on the track and having them rage, "omgwtf, Spit Rocks x18".
And before someone complains about ruining high score times, I want to make it clear that the times assigned to each checkpoint should be reasonable enough that some slow racers can still make it. If they at least can make it, then the fastest racers out there will surely be able to make the times at each checkpoint. High scores will remain unaffected.

Reason: Apparently, there already IS a use for Checkpoints. My bad.
